Setting it up was easy and fast with easy to follow directions. Each step actually worked as expected! And it transmits just fine.

In a time when so much bloviating is happening about everything under the sun... it is refreshing to actually experience truth in advertising. This little dongle is the cats meow and actually did everything it says it should and everything I wanted and needed it to do !!! You don't need to spend more for the 4K version unless you intend on paying for 4K content. I was happy to get my laptop screen on my TV monitor - and it is High-Def... mainly Youtube really, but it is useful for other stuff too, from my phone to TV and so on.

I decided to give this chromecast a shot because I was annoyed with the first generation one that I received as a gift. I didn't like the first gen because it was somewhat bulky and didn't flex well coming out of the back of an Xbox1. This Chromecast solves both of those problems and has some neat features like linking to my facebook pictures, telling me the weather and allowing me the option to feature a variety of interesting backgrounds. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the facebook pictures get cropped poorly much of the time. Perhaps there is a setting configuration to correct this but I don't care enough to mess with it at the moment.

Got this for a friend, she is not very technically inclined. She was able to figure this out and set it up on her own. She loves it.

This gadget takes minutees to connect and set up. We bought it specifically to stream YouTube TV on the big screen, and it works perfectly.

I have one of these for every TV in my house works on almost all flat screens and I cast from several apps (music/shows/movies)

The unit is fairly easy to install and start using. It requires your smart phone to select what you are going to "Cast" to the TV but does not use data on the phone while watching on the TV.

So just started moving into the Android/Google ecosystem and this was a great addition. Works well easy to setup for the price can't beat it.

Chromecast provides a good option to stream media from supported apps to your television. It is important to verify if your app works with this device as not all apps support Chromecast as of yet.

I got this at a friend's suggestion. I use the app called showbox to watch shows and i can then cast from my phone to the TV with chromecast.

This chrome cast makes it so much easier to have the kids watch stuff on the Tv while using your phone which eliminates the need for cable TV.

This is my second chromecast, have one for each of my TV's. Great for casting off Netflix and other online programs from my tablet to my TV

Its really nice to have, connect your phone or tablet and watch your videos or movies right from your phone, no cords. sets up very easy.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Google Chromecast device since I purchased it. It was an easy installation even for me! I like everything about it.

I have one and bought this one for my daughter, works great to stream stuff from your phone to the TV especially if you don't have cable!

I was in between Chromecast and the Amazon fire stick. I am quite pleased that I chose Chromecast. It has everything that I need in being able to stream on my tv. Would make this purchase again.

This is an excellent add-on to a non-smart TV. Installation and set up was quick. Now I can stream net-flix from my Ipad . Time to ditch Comcast.

I have used both the Apple TV and now the Google Chromcast. The Google Chromcast is great for a beginner. I would diffinitely recommend.
