I really didn't need this but it is much more convenient to stream from my phone to the television and with Google Home, I can just tell it what I want to see and it plays... Nice!

This was recommended to me at the store and it is amazing. It was easy to set up...about 20 minutes with an update and I was broadcasting.

This is my second device. I haven't used it much, but I can't tell the difference from my old 1st generation vs. this new 2nd generation device. But it works, so can't complain

The google chromecast is decently priced but has limited uses... I’d much rather use my Apple TV. For the price, it’s a great alternative for a guest room.

The second generation is better than first generation. Appears to be faster. I did not get the third generation since it is more expensive and not sure if would have the need.

So pleased with my new Chromecast. Just plugged into the HDMI port on my television and my iPhone became my remote. Great product.

I started out with the original chromecast but have decided to upgrade and now I have 1 in every TV in the house. They are awesome. I play music and TV and YouTube on them all the time. My dad uses them to show his guests the trips he takes and to cast some other things that hes interested in. I like that they work with chrome so you can cast the browser tab or whole screen from my Chromebook or even my mac to show my customers their webpages. They come in handy all the time. Couldn't be happier with the product.

This is the second unit I bought, one for the living room and the other one bedroom. They're both great, I highly recommend it.

Extremely easy to set up. Allows me to cast content from my computer onto my tv using my WiFi network. Works perfectly!

We had an older chromecast and wanted to update it. This is improved from the last one in that there are fewer disconnects while using sling. However, it still drops off. For uses other than sling, it's probably not bad.

Chromecasts turn any TV into a smart TV. Ability to get power from USB is nice, eliminating extra cords going to outlet.

Casting is a very handy feature and makes TV watching very simple, especially when choosing content from your mobile device.
