    there are other casting devices as well but I found chrome cast with a better performance

    Does basically the same this as the first generation, but is noticeably faster. Like it a lot.

    When using the Chromecast you have to first open what you want to watch on your cell phone (or tablet) and send it to the Chromecast. I prefer the Roku because you use a remote so it feels like watching regular television. The only really cool thing about the Chromecast is when you have a Google home speaker. Then you can use the speaker to tell Google to tell the Chromecast to watch anything on Netflix or YouTube. The downside is that it only works with YouTube and Netflix.
