I like the chrome set because it’s easy to travel with and take with you so you aren’t stuck watching things on your phone or computer while on vacation. The connection quality is excellent I’ve never had an issue. I think it’s dependent on the capabilities of your device. But the google home app is a big help and a nice way to customize the device for your home.

Chromecast what you want!

The phone controls have expanded tremendously and my discovery of CEC (consumer electronics control) has been awesome throwing my TV remote in the drawer and not worrying about it. It's quick to boot and start playing what I ask. There's virtually no buffering and video playback is smooth and clear.
