    My Chromecast was purchased for use with YouTube TV. So far it works great and allows my phone to be the remote control which proves to be handy. It does not interfere with incoming/outgoing calls or anything else on the phone. When I am not watching tv it acts as a screen saver with google photos weather etc. I will be purchasing another one for my upstairs TV!
