    Had the Roku but it broke because of the design [supported by the thingy at the end--nothing else. Paid $35 for this doddab and because of its design [has a flat cord so you can support it by laying it on the table top], it will last. A wee bit unconventional in that it doesn't store you apps but instead permits you to use your cell phone to 'cast' your programs. I'm getting the hang of it and so far I like it. :)

    I have a chromecast in almost every TV in my home (smartTV don't need it). We use it to cast youtube, facebook videos, netflix, play music, spotify and photos. We make our own karaoke machine, were anybody who has a smartphone, can send their own song to the chromecast and wait for their turn to sing. We made very good use of these little devices.
