    Since I've owned the new Chromecast, I can definitely tell a difference from the previous generation, the video retrieval speed of this device is definitely noticeable and worth tossing out the old model in favor of this one. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who doesn't have a Smart TV. It does require an HDMI connection to interface with the TV.

    It has the ability to cast but I rather have kodi sideloaded instead so I suggest the firetv stick or box instead because you can sideload kodi and everything else and have a remote along with Alexa. The nivida shield is best for sure but it's expensive. Also I decided to go with the MI box because it was 69.99 only and it has chromecast built in and a remote control with Google voice and you get to sideload everything including kodi.
