We bought this and ended up returning it because we realized our smart tv had the same capabilities as the chrome cast. But, for people who don't have smart tvs, this is a nifty little gadget! It's easy to setup and even easier to operate!

Maybe the best $ I ever spent. Wonderful to be able to cast any video or tab from my desktop and that too with high quality. I am taking a course online and love being able to watch the lectures from the comfort of my sofa in front of TV, instead of sitting at my desk. It was also very easy to setup. The device is really small and no one would even notice it as it fits behind the TV, very portable without any wires.

There is a slight learning curve to installing one of these the first time, from the app standpoint. You need Google Home, the device itself, and an available HDMI port on your TV. We use ours for YouTubeTV reception and it's flawless. We get more channels in HD now than we did when we had cable, and it's a lot cheaper once you've made that one-time investment in a couple of Chromecast devices.

Summary says it all... if you have WIFI, a smart phone, and tv with hdmi input, you are in business. It has allowed me to go cable free.

The Chromecast is fantastic for watching Netflix and YouTube I Barely watch Sat TV anymore. The chromecast is extremely easy to use and connect. we have one on every tv in the house

This product was an easy install and works perfectly every-time. I just bought a second one for another TV. I tried several other products over the past couple years including getting a new router, a new "smart" blue ray player, and nothing worked well streaming movies to my TV. This product worked the first time and dozens of times since, and only failed once - probably the fault of a slow cable download from charter!

Great simple product that every home that likes streaming video must have. Works much better than having smart TV capabilities. It's a good addition even to smart TVs

The Chromecast is a very useful item. I use it almost daily to stream Netflix from my phone on to the TV. Plenty of other uses for it.

Every tv has one of these in my house if it doesn't have a streaming device hooked up through a blue ray player or gaming system. Works great everytime. Never an issue.

The way its setup with the use of a smart phone, tablet or computer makes this a very powerful device. If you bought when the Google Play credit is available, its almost a no brainer.

I got a pair of ChromeCast units for my two upstairs TVs. They're great. I can switch between the two when I go from the living room to the bedroom. What's not to love?

I love this product since i don't have a smart tv where you easily watch Netflix or youtube on the tv. I was recommended this device and i am glad i bought it ! Its so easy to install

I have no stuttering of video like before and that was my only complaint with the first generation model. For somebody like myself who's all in Android (Nexus ecosystem) it's a win.

It's such an easy device to install and you get most of the popular streaming apps plus some exclusive to chrome cast . Easily bought three of these to install and give to relatives.

I haven't needed cable..... or blu rays since picking this up. This one also sets up so easily, far quicker than the 1st gen..... which still hold up strong as well.

its a great replacement for google tv users. i have successfully installed the chromecast on the old google tv, it lets you cast all the media from any mobile phone.

The Chromecast is a great alternative to watching cable TV. You can stream thousands of APPS right from your tablet or phone. Works great with major apps such as YouTube and Netflix.

I have a Chromecast in every room. This device has made it extremely simple to send video from room to room in my home. Took less than 10 minutes to plug in and use.

I absolutely love the Chromecast. I have a shop in my backyard and I wanted to be able to watch TV in it but I did not want to pay for another cable box. So I did research on ways I can watch TV on an actual TV and not on the computer (I have Dish Network and can use Dish Anywhere on my phone). This is the best $30 I have ever spent. Easy to set up, easy to use. Compatible with my Samsung phone. Absolutely love it.

Chromecast is a good product it works, easy to set up but I use Amazon prime and if you want to use it for that service forget it. Google and Amazon don't work together at all had to return it and get another product.
