I don't know what the difference is between this version and the old. They both were easy to use and set up was seamless as well. I recommend a chromecast to all my friends. Would give 5 stars if it came with more app options.

For starters, it was very easy to set up. The directions were straight forward and easy to follow. It was up and ready to use in about 10 minutes. I'm really glad I got it.

Easy install. I primarily cast photos & videos so easier to view as opposed to passing around phone or tablet. Also works great for casting YouTube and other online content.

I first bought the chrome cast because my sister had the previous version and it was very useful for when you are with friends and want to share something with everyone on the TV. It is compatible with so many different apps and streaming services. It is super easy to set up just plug the chrome cast into the TV and plug the AC adapter into the wall and you're ready to stream from your phone or tablet!

This item is great. I have not had cable for several years now and this item allows me to have access to all of the options out there streamed right off my phone or tablet.

Awesome device, I'm a big fan, because all of the control is in your phone, you don't need to worry about login in both on phone and device, very convenient

Chrome cast is amazing and super to install and use! you do need to have subscriptions to netflix, hulu, etc but you can also stream youtube and other videos

I wanted this an an alternative for our other network-based methods and this works great. Android parts easy to set up, configuration worked first try. Yayy.

If you don't have a smart TV this is a must but if you do you should still but this cause it's actually a great product. I'm not fake I'm 100% a real person. No one pays me

It's great for watching Netflix or YouTube on your TV with your smart phone but with a computer you could cast alot of stuff.

Not much to say about this one. Works right out of the box no problem. Super easy to watch netflix, hulu, and to stream your chrome browser to this little guy. It's perfect!

The new version of the chromecast is just perfect. It is a simple product that is super-simple to install and just works. How often can you say that about new technology???

Pretty much a done deal for the price you get. At the time of my purchase it was $25, and at that time I was ready to purchase the Roku. The inexpensive price what the main factor. It is a very responsive device. To access control, you are required to use a smartphone, tablet, or PC in which it would be an inconvenience to some. I use my smartphone, which is practically with me all the time, so it is not inconvenient for me to control the Chromecast. However, having its own physical remote would have made it awesome.

Bought this device for my sister so she could watch Netflix and Hulu on her non-smart TV. She only has a mifi as her home internet but it still works great.

I already own a Chromecast previous version, but this one is sleek and added to my bedroom tv. Works great with YouTube streaming and happy with it so far.

This casting device is the best one that I have seen in the market so far, its so fast, quick and easy to setup. using it from past 3 years with no issues.

Turns your phone or tablet into a very handy device to search for what you want to watch on Netflix, Hulu, etc. Just need to make sure the app is castable.

I hesitated for a while before dropping money on this over the Roku... I am very pleased with my purchase. Watching Netflix, Youtube, etc on the TV has never been easier.

Sometimes it can deceive you as you set it up, but you start over and it is working. Works great with my laptop and my phone. I watch a lot of MOTV on it.

I wanted to watch you tube streaming on my tv and this was a cheap and easy way to set it up. I also like that I can use netflix also. I am still finding other uses for it
