Better than first version

Much better connectivity and better memory, so no more breaks in the stream. Like the flexible HDMI connector and magnet so easily hides behind the TV. Overall, really liked it and bought two more for upstairs TV and as a gift.

Best add on even if you have smart TV

I was able to screen mirror my MacBook wirelessly without Apple TV. And of course chrome cast does the job seamlessly while connecting different devices to cast.

Better choice than AppleTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While I do have a Mac, the fact that the Chromecast can support mobile phones, tablets and Macs makes this a more versatile product than AppleTV. The costs is less and while Apple has a lot of programming built in, many of the programs we watch are streamed from a browser. Also, this can replace having multiple cable boxes in the home!

Transmits sluggishly. Very jerky for video.

But there is such a long lag from the mobile screen to the tv, it is impractical. So I will go back to using an HDMI cable.

Nice product to enable my old TV as a "smart" TV

I like it to play music, videos, and movies. Nice interface tool to reproduce on my TV, the streaming applications from my phone and tablet.
