The audio quality is not good, doesn't work when the cast device is on different network

Set-up was a little tricky. You need a strong WiFi signal. So it’s cool to be able “cast” compatible apps like Netflix and YouTube from your phone or computer to the TV. However, if you think this allows you to cut ties with the cable provider, think carefully about the decision. $11/mo to Netflix, $9/mo to Hulu, $4 to rent a movie from the iTunes Store...by the time you add all this up, you’re paying as much as a cable bill. No streaming app offers any free content worth mentioning. Even Public Television’s app requires you to become a member to see much of the content, so just think about what you’re spending. One cool feature is that with a Google Photos account, your personal photos display on the TV while you’re deciding what watch. I recommend this, but be sure you know what it does and doesn’t do.

Cheap and best way for mirroring from macbook to tv.

My sister had the old Chromcast in our house for a while. I bought the new one a little bit ago and love the new magnetic design. Chromcast is an amazing easy way to have a display for your phone and computer on your TV, and watch Netflix and Amazon Prime

Good little machine. I use it primarily for YOUTUBE since my firestick no longer supports the app. So A+ for YOUTUBE connectability. But almost any video file that is playable on your smart phone can be sent directly to your chromecast.

I broke down and finally bought an electronic assistant and am about to purchase additional products to automate my lights, doorbell, thermostat and additional items and feel that Amazon is ahead of the game. So far I am not disappointed.

I went into BestBuy to purchase a set of cables for my cellphone that allowed me to view what's on my phone to my television. One of the BestBuy employees recommend the Chromecast and I'm happy he did.

Good Basic Streaming Player for a decent price ...

Honestly I bought this so I could throw putlocker onto my tv and watch Westworld without buying it. The sound is always significantly lower than it would be normally which is a little frustrating. I also had a lot of connection issues at first, but resolved them quickly. Overall it was a solid buy.

Ours is having difficulty with Google Play Movies. But for all other apps, works great!
