Definitely recommend this item if you hate watching from your phone. It's a much better experience of watching on your phone via Bluetooth to the TV. Especially if your tv didn't have the capabilities built in already...

I am using this product from last six months. Never had any problem. I can play videos from samsung phone, windows laptops without any problem. Though I have smart TV, chromecast makes life simple while viewing content from non-google websites.

This device is good to use, but requires a lot of time and patience. You have to download another free app and enter websites on there to upload web pages. Then you have to purchase on iTunes from within that app for better quality on videos or show.

This is the best most affordable device everrrrr. Seriously for someone who can't afford the ridiculously expensive smart tvs out there, and does not care for live tv, this is the ultimate deal. Netflix + mirroring capabilities = sold

I had to buy a new chromecast due to my old one (same new style but a year and a half old) kept restarting in the middle of a show I was casting when I went back to the show it would completely start over from the beginning it was getting frustrating. So far no issues with the new one.

I have two first generation Chromecasts and this new model, along with the software updates being made, definitely seem to make connecting and streaming faster and more reliable. Increasing support for Google Cast in apps is icing on the cake!

I love that I am able to mirror my phone to the TV or cast shows from my phone's app to the TV as well. Also very helpful when I do Nike Training Club exercises so I can watch the movements on a larger screen versus a smaller cellphone screen.

I gave up the Apple TV when I lot the remote control. Instead opf buying a new remote control, I went into a Chromecast, almost the same price of the remote, and with the same functions of the Apple TV. Thjis was the best acquistion to my room.

Good product but no assistance in using it. Personnel gave conflicting information on setup, pricing resulting in an unpleasant experience overall. I had the same kind of experience several years ago, primarily with the Geek Squad. Vowed never to return to Best Buy but did for this purchase. Same type problem!

I bought this for a friend but found out he's had one already. I used to have the older Chromecast but it rarely ever worked. I used this one for fun to test, and learned its wayyy more reliable than the original model. So I'm keeping it.

We bought the google chromecast to update our old tv in my daughters room. We cancelled cable and wanted to be able to get Netflix. This was the perfect solution for us, and it was so easy to do. You just plug it into the back of your tv.

I went unbundled and use digital broadcast tv to watch the news. Movies? Chromecast attached to my USB port on the tv, and wifi cast from any cellphone or laptop. Great for reviewing photos or playing video games on the big screen.

So I thought that this device had all these apps already on it. It turns out you need your smartphone or tablet to have the apps and you basically use the mirror link through the apps. Not bad, gives better connection than my tv did and I can control everything with my phone.

It's ok but I don't like all that is on my phone being broadcasted.

Wish it could work without the monthly fees. Good items if you a large family

It casts either your browser tab, entire desktop, or your phone's screen onto your tv. There is a slight time delay between what's playing on the computer and the screen, but it's not an issue if you cast both the audio and screen.

they wanted nearly 150 bucks to replace the wireless adapter in my tv when it went out its a older tv for tv's nowadays no way was i gonna pay this when it just a netflix maybe some youtube machine i cheapest way to make your tv smart by far

works great but I don't use it much cuz you have to go through too much to change the TV to a different setting. I don't have the original remote to my TV anymore so I have to do it by hand which makes me not use the chrome like I could be. I now just want a smart TV that has all the apps right on the tv

This product does everything it needs to do. It supports 5g wifi, has no buffer issues as long as your router and ISP speeds are where they need to be, and I've never had to reboot it. It does get warm though so give it access to open air.
