We bought the chromcast due to the flood in Louisiana in August we are still living in our camper and it has enabled us to watch many movies as well as programs from our camper that we are living in while our house is being rebuilt

This product is great for slinging what you are watching on your phone to your TV. I have noticed at times the screen will go black, but the sound will keep playing. I have had to unplug and plug the device back into the HDMI slot to fix the issue. Other than that I have not noticed any issues.

The product works similar to to other products which allow you to stream video's from your mobile device to your smartTV. Could be better since you can't stream everything from your laptop, it's limited to what you can stream from your laptop.

I have loved my experience with the Chromecast thus far. I have 2 in my home and it is a great way to cut the cord and still watch what you want, and record, for much cheaper than a cable package would cost me.

I have one LG smartv that already has the Netflix and Youtube, but if you want to user other services by app as ABC, FOX, TBS, etc it's a great complement even for smartvs that does not has native app for these other channels.

I have Apple TV but it wouldn't let me use my android tablet so Ima try it

I bought this to stream NHL Gamecenter, and have found it mystifyingly difficult to work consistently. Sometimes the link works instantly, and sometimes not at all (I spent 20 minutes tryouts to get it to hook up last night, and finally went to my other TV with an Apple TV to watch my game). Maddening!!!

This is our second Chromecast and we love it. It's great for streaming at home and is so portable we always take it on vacation too. We have one in every room of our house and it's a great gift item too.

I bought this as a gift last year, but it seems like the content I'm able to stream has become less and less. The app has been updated many times and it seems that every time it updates, you are able to stream less of what you want and they try to sell you more content. It used to be perfect.

I bought this version of Google Chromecast to replace the older one. As expected, could not go wrong with it. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because there is no remote unit to control it and no built-in support for ethernet connection. However the 5 ghz support in this version is a boon!

It works as intended and I have no complaints. Only thing I wished it did was being able to plug headphones in the device it's streaming from and get audio from that and not the tv. So you can watch tv without bothering anyone sleeping.

As mentioned I purchased my second chrome cast for my daughters TV, it frees up my TV to watch my shows and I was able to move my PlayStation back out to the living room because she had been using it to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc.

I bought this for our living room. We are avid Netflix watchers and this makes it extremely easy for us to watch together. I read reviews about connection issues prior to purchasing and am happy to say we haven't had any issues.

The only reason I don't like this product is because it doesn't have a remote. The downloaded apps require too much space on my phone, which prevents me from using it as a remote and I cannot cast. This would be an excellent product, if Google made a version with a remote, like its' competition Roku.

We are trying to cut the cord so we purchased a couple of these for the TV's. SO for they are working well. The only issue that sometime we need to reboot then for no apparent reason. Other than that it works great to cast to as well as to play shows using Google Home.

Has a better connection than the 1st gen and awesome feature that it turns tv on for you and choose the hdmi port automatically. Didn't give 5 stars though because if I'm not mistaken the images/pics that you mirror from your phone aren't displayed in 1080p. Other than that no complaints.

My son was the one that showed me this product, every time they came home to visit he will hook his on my tv and watch what he liked, Now i can do the same specially on the weekends were is not that many good things to watch.Love it!!

I bought this item to be able to see the Samsung Gear VR on my big screen but I'm having issues with the lagging and sometimes the game won't even appear on the screen.my WiFi and WiFi direct should be pretty fast so not sure what's wrong.

Bought this so we could get Netflix on our family TV and it's working out great my only problem was the instructions were not that clear had to have my daughter come over to set it up for me also had a hard time connecting it to the internet once connected I've had no problem.

Chromecast works well, when it does work. Unfortunately, sometimes it loses connection to your wifi, and needs to be completely reset. This is likely because my tv is in a corner, somewhat far from my Wifi router, and chromecast's position on the back of the TV doesn't help the situation.
