My tv didn't have casting ability built into it so I bought this. Has worked great. I have a google home so when i tell it to play the latest news or play a movie on Netflix google home turns on my tv and plays what I want!!!

Plagued with reconnect me errors on both 2.4 and 5Ghz. My first gen chromecast has been working fine on the same router for almost 2 years.

Love the phone build quality. It feels like a premium phone. Camera is pretty good as well. OIS would have been a nice feature to have. Phone battery seems good so far. The size of the phone could have been reduced to a screen size of 5 - 5.2 inches ...would feel a bit comfortable with that...

Much cheaper than Roku or Apple TV, easy to use, and portable. Great for guest room or college and high school kids. Pretty much all they need if you have Netflix, Hulu, or other streaming services and a dumb TV with usb input.

Because my husband was so happy with the Google Chrome device that I gave him last year, I decided to purchase one for my tech savvy son-in-law. My daughter told me that they are both enjoying it even as I type this review.

Google chromecast has to be one of the most efficient purchases I have made all year. It is extremely useful and it's literally always ready for you to stream anything to it. From spotify to youtube, Google chromecast has your back!

Bought this so we could get Netflix on our family TV and it's working out great my only problem was the instructions were not that clear had to have my daughter come over to set it up for me also had a hard time connecting it to the internet once connected I've had no problem.

We are trying to cut the cord so we purchased a couple of these for the TV's. SO for they are working well. The only issue that sometime we need to reboot then for no apparent reason. Other than that it works great to cast to as well as to play shows using Google Home.

Overall this product is pretty good, just hook it up to the tv and wifi and your good. Perfect for college students that are dorming. Set up is kind of tidious because of the app you have to download but overall pretty good for the price. Good alternative if you don't want to get a smart tv

This is our second Chromecast and we love it. It's great for streaming at home and is so portable we always take it on vacation too. We have one in every room of our house and it's a great gift item too.

I am absolutely loving this device . I was deciding between Apple TV and chromecast and I am glad I selected this device . The quality is amazing and it's very slick . I watched all my game of thrones seasons on this mini friend .

Fairly easy to use but its not as simple as they make it sound. There are a number of set up steps and if you are not tech savvy with the phone it gets a little confusing. I am still having trouble figuring out how to make the phone work as a volume remote for the tv when playing movies.

If you only have one in your entire household; then it will work okay.

I love it. My family watches Netflix often and this comes in handy when someone else is using the smart TV. Since it is small and portable we are able to use it when we are at a friend or family's house that has Wi-Fi.

with no external device hooked up to the bedroom tv, i wanted something simple to allow netflix streaming and this does the trick. a little clumsy having to use my phone to select programming, but everything works as designed, so you really can't beat the functionality for the price.

I like that the apps are preloaded onto the device so that you don't have to stream from your phone. Less isssues than we had with the first chrome model. It streams quicker from your phone so less freezing and better images

I like chromecast that look like I am in the movie theater.

Doesnt work with all Android phones. This should be oosted.

I bought the Comcast because I own several movie apps and do not enjoy commercials and it allows me to watch what I want and when I want, mostly without commercials. This lets you use your phone as a remote in any room you choose

Two complaints. The buffering(if that's the correct term didn't seem as smooth as on my Apple TV in the other room.it wasn't bad, just occasionally noticeable. Now this seems a bit strange but it appears to interfere with Comcast. The Comcast signal goes in and out. Not very often.
