I re-purposed a set of Altec Lansig speakers and subwoofer with this, and now use them all the time. If it weren't for the audio chrome cast, my speaker set would be collecting dust with the desktop that I bought them for.

I had been researching a lot which one to buy as i was more interested to buy Roku because since it has a headset plugin option but rather i had chosen to go for this since Roku doesn't support mirroring for Mac osx.

Aside from being able to control our TV with google assistant now, we love being able to game cast sports. We are very much looking forward to fall and football season, for all those out of market games.

Third chromecast, first of the newest version. Haven't noticed any performance upgrades since the last one, but I haven't performed any real benchmark tests. If you want to turn a "dumb" tv into a smart-ish one grab this.

After owning a bunch of the original Chromecast devices, this is a welcomed upgrade and continues to be the one streaming device I travel with. The magnetic and slim HDMI cord, make it much easier to add to any HDMI port without the need for the HDMI extender they used to ship.

I really enjoy using it to watch videos movies all kinds of stuff also can use my phone to send to tv to watch awesome......only con I can think of is wifi has to be close to it and fast or videos get choppy...

The chromecast by google isn't great little device that comes in handy when steaming music and or videos from your computer and or phone. I just wish you could shut it off when you are away and or not using it. It does get a little on the warm side. But otherwise a great product.

I am using this with my Sannyo LED TV which does not have WiFi I can stream my phone which helps me discuss while shopping household items. I do miss that I am not able to stream amazon prime on it.

Great for price but older model seems to better. The problem I have with this is if you have a long wifi password, you'll have to change it. It won't allow you to connect if you're wifi password is too long. wth? Still overall its great for the price, tho I prefer my 1st gen chromecast

Bought during thanksgiving deals. It’s worth the money

My daughter told me about this device and showed me how to use it so I bought it and can't say enough about it. Can't watch it on our old tv so we have to use it in the bedroom for now but looking into a new tv at Best Buy.

Sometimes I just switch my TV input to the CC and just watch the slideshow. It's never failed me, and for the price, the options of all of my tech that can use this, it's worth it.

For the price of 2-3 burgers, you are getting a device which has so many opportunities. The most necessary option for me was screen mirroring, it gives you a chance to get rid of one more wire - the HDMI cable.

You can only view what you send from your cell phone.

I bought a Chromecast to stream the NBC Sports ap from my phone to my TV. The Chromecast works well although under heavy network usage it does lag sometimes. One of the benefits of casting from the phone to the TV is that you're not draining your phone battery as quickly.

Fun full to play. Good for the kids to have.enjoyable

Appreciate the ability to be able to send video, photos, etc to a bigger TV screen. No real issues with the wireless (I had one time where I had to reconfigure but that wasn't too difficult). Would buy again.

I thought this was going to be a great device to use, however, I didn't realize that it needed an internet connection to work. I thought you only needed a router, however, I was wrong. Also the playback is hit and miss. Sometimes it plays great and sometimes, it is glitchy (pixelated).

This was a perfect way to recycle my old PC speakers. They already sound great, but since the move to laptops we stopped using them. Now we have them in a corner of the house and we can rock to them with any of our phones!
