The operation is not quite as smooth as APPLE TV or NETFLIX.

This chromecast is great when you want to mirror your phone to your tv....plays all the movies that I have on my phone and being able to cast and still be able to use my phone is GREAT

It's a nice little add-on for TV. But wish it had remote so didn't have to depend on smart phone. But overall nice addition but I think I prefer a Roku, but not appleTV since it's not 4K. But feel price is high.

If my cable box is on my connection flickers to a point that you cant watch anything through chrome cast...and had difficulty getting it to work when first installing...customer service wasnt able to solve problem.

I was looking for some device that can be used for streaming from my laptop. This works great with chrome on my Laptop and MAC. However, if you want to stream is via iOS device, you need to install the app that does not work properly with all streaming websites.

I purchased two devices since I was not sure which would work best .The Chrome cast was by far the best option because it allowed me the opportunity to view programs that I could not enjoy without this option.

Works ok, but freezes sometimes. Overall is a good product.

I had the first version Chromecast and enjoyed using it. Lent it to my daughter to try out and decided to upgrade. This unit has a much better wi-fi range, so much so that some of my devices will attempt to connect to it before connecting to my home wi-fi (802.11ac).

It's really nice being able to watch TV from apps on my phone that I don't have access to on my TV otherwise. It usually works perfectly, but once in a while, it stops randomly and you have to close and restart the app and program, but it restarts where you left off.

My husband and I already have 1 ChromeCast but decided to get a second so we didn't have to keep taking it back and forth between the living room and our bedroom, works great, can be a little difficult to set up if you haven't done it before, that's why I gave 4/5 stars

This works better than the amazon fire in my opinion but I think the roku is the best bang for you buck. But if you’re look for something cheap that works this will do. But make sure you don’t leave it plugged in all the time it will overheat.

Do the work but if you have an smart tv it's not necessary

Purchased the Chromecast for a friend whose 1st gen SmartTV stopped receiving support. The device has worked great and there is no complain. It is versatile to work with a wide variety of devices.

For those looking for an upgrade from their previous Chromecast, this is what you want. I have found this product gives better range and connection than the older model with no drawbacks observed as of yet.

I originally had the Microsoft stick, but it says slow. I went and got this and even though you can't show full screen from pc, you get the chrome browser extension and it works perfectly. I would recommend it.

I bought this to replace one of my 1st generation Chromecasts. I love the new look and appreciate that it now comes with its own power box. They are great for home and easy to take with you when you travel.

I love this thing. I now buy them for all my relatives as a gift, and they love it, and recommend it to others. No better streaming plug in for your tv/monitor, no matter if onapple or android camp

All you need is internet access. Download the app to a tablet or phone and if you can watch it on your phone, you can watch it on the TV. The only thing I don't like is sometimes it freezes and then you have to unplug it and no remote. That's why it has 4 stars.

Ummm. It's a Chromecast. It does what it is supposed to do. Does the double duty of being able to allow your Android tablet/phone to 'cast to the TV. I like the menu system a little better than my old Roku.

I love all things google, so maybe I am biased. I have a few of these in the house. I have a kodi box with all kinds of media and sue emby on my phone. I can stream anything through emby to the chromecast.
