I used to use laptop with HDMI to watch some online video on my TV. That's no longer necessary with this small device. Also TV watching now becomes more fun with remote control through my tablet. Highly recommend.

Purchased the Chromecast for a friend whose 1st gen SmartTV stopped receiving support. The device has worked great and there is no complain. It is versatile to work with a wide variety of devices.

IIt works but not what i needed. I was looking to be able to use the smart link on my phone to hook up to my non smart tv like i do to my new tv without internet. But no, so thats the only reason i returned it.

My boyfriend and I are very happy with the google chromecast! We spent 3 months in a hotel for his job and we were able to watch our on media collection from our laptop with chromecast.

It's a nice little add-on for TV. But wish it had remote so didn't have to depend on smart phone. But overall nice addition but I think I prefer a Roku, but not appleTV since it's not 4K. But feel price is high.

I purchased this because one of my tv's is not a smart tv. It works and does the job but if you are looking for the best product, buy an Apple TV. This product is very easy to use.

I was looking for some device that can be used for streaming from my laptop. This works great with chrome on my Laptop and MAC. However, if you want to stream is via iOS device, you need to install the app that does not work properly with all streaming websites.

A ChromeCast is a 'no-brainer' to operate. Plug & play. I bought this for my son so we could cast to his new 4K TV. It worked vey well. It was easy for our phones to find it & set oit up.

Just what I wanted pick up a lot of the old shows I could never see again and continue watching one of my favorite shows Longmire. Now my daughter Hogs the Chromecast so she can see her shows I have to buy another.

I like it because it's compact but hmm not really my thing!

If my cable box is on my connection flickers to a point that you cant watch anything through chrome cast...and had difficulty getting it to work when first installing...customer service wasnt able to solve problem.

Bought this for my TV so I could use it with Google Home. All you can do is cast to it and ask google to play netflix and HBO and stuff via voice. Unfortunately, there is no interactive menu for this Google Chrome cast, like Apple TV has.

I love this thing. I now buy them for all my relatives as a gift, and they love it, and recommend it to others. No better streaming plug in for your tv/monitor, no matter if onapple or android camp

We also own a 1st Generation Chromecast and decided to try this one when the original had issues staying connected to our home network. Setup was very easy and we have had no issues with connectivity or lagging. Works great with PCs, tablets and phones.

I purchased two devices since I was not sure which would work best .The Chrome cast was by far the best option because it allowed me the opportunity to view programs that I could not enjoy without this option.

I had the first version Chromecast and enjoyed using it. Lent it to my daughter to try out and decided to upgrade. This unit has a much better wi-fi range, so much so that some of my devices will attempt to connect to it before connecting to my home wi-fi (802.11ac).

It's really nice being able to watch TV from apps on my phone that I don't have access to on my TV otherwise. It usually works perfectly, but once in a while, it stops randomly and you have to close and restart the app and program, but it restarts where you left off.

The operation is not quite as smooth as APPLE TV or NETFLIX.

For those looking for an upgrade from their previous Chromecast, this is what you want. I have found this product gives better range and connection than the older model with no drawbacks observed as of yet.

All you need is internet access. Download the app to a tablet or phone and if you can watch it on your phone, you can watch it on the TV. The only thing I don't like is sometimes it freezes and then you have to unplug it and no remote. That's why it has 4 stars.
