I wanted to use a movie file from my laptop and show it on a monitor at a reception following a funeral. I explained what I wanted to do, and the salesman at Best Buy said it would work. It didn't. When calling the company for tech support, they said it was designed to project the internet from your computer, not your own movie files. What I wanted to do was just "experimental." I ended up putting it on youtube, and then projecting that since it was on the internet. But didn't really want my family movie on youtube. So, make sure you know what you are buying it for.

I LIKE TH NEW DESIGN, AND THE CABLE ACTUALLY WORKS BETTER THAN THE OLD STICK. YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH GET IT INTO ANY TV OR MONITOR. A BIT MORE COMPLEX THAN FIRESTICK. BUT A GOOD DEVICE

Either my Iphone 7 or Lumia 820 can cast wirelessly to a big screen of a HDTV with this device. I strongly recommend to everyone !

I am not a tech savy person at all and refuse to pay for a committment service for television and especially for programs I am not interested in.

It's a really neat device if you don't have a smart TV. If the price drops down a little bit more I would recommend every household to have one.

Much better than the old version! I love the fact that it's got a four inch 'cord' to make it easy to plug into hard-to-reach places. It's great!!!

Make sure you have a good router and a good connection to the internet to stream media. You have to buy the app in the on Apple devices. And Apple TV works better with Apple devices.

this works with both iOS and android. But I prefer the Apple TV because my whole family have iPhones so we can link to Apple TV mirroring quickly.

this item is great, can watch any show from my computer or lap top and cast it to my TV, great way to watch TV with out cable.

Good product for viewing TV from computer. We didn't have cable capability for our upstairs but wanted to view TV. It worked well for that.

For the most part it works pretty well. It seems to have buffering issues when streaming Netflix even though the device is able to play it flawlessly. Overall would still purchase it again.

Bought this as a gift for a non-smart tv and this helped her log on and use Netflix and YouTube. Thankfully these gadgets exist...

My older smart TV works with it pretty well. Every once in a while it sticks and I have to reboot, but I am pretty happy with it.

Does what it says on the tin. Only issue was an occasional drop off of connection between device and Wi-Fi. A simple restart fixed the issue.

Virtually non-existent documentation; setup marginally difficult until you realize it is tried to the Chrome Browser. After that it works quite well depending on one's innternet bandwidth.

works great since my tv has no internet connection i use this to stream my laptop to the tv. great for watching youtube videos on larger screen

Good one, or even better than the old chormecast! If you have a LED TV, and a ac level router, this is will provide a more stable service.

Chrome cast works well. Love being able to control it with Google home mini. Casting YouTube to my television from phone is great too.

not much of an upgrade. Yes, it has 5Hz capability, but I don't notice a big speed difference. The form factor is worse than last model, I like the stick design better than this hanging circle.

Works great! Fantastic quality of images, even better than just streaming through my smart apps on my tv or bluray player. Impressed!
