    The chromecast has allowed me to download apps and stream them to the tv for viewing instead of just watching them from my iPhone.

    I bought this to replace another brand when sound was lost in one ear bud. The sound on the LG was great. It was clear and blocked out other sounds in my workout room.

    Easy to set up, works well with App. Useful for viewing sports events on large TV rather than iPad when not broadcast by TV networks.

    I love my chrome cast especially the mirror imaging and for the prices verses Apple to do pretty much the same features it's worth it!

    Good for specific use case - old tv that doesn't have apps and mirror casting features. Setup was painful. Had to use a mobile device (phone or tablet) not computer (desktop or laptop) in order to configure the device. Had to disable MAC filtering, finish setup, then enable. Even then, it too multiple attempts to configure all the way through. Better off spending $10 more for a device that also does streaming.

    I bought the Chromecast so I could watch Netflix in my hotel room. I travel quite a bit. The unit does exactly what they say in the ads. The only issue for the 3 star rating is that if you are trying to use it at a hotel with a WiFi login the unit does not seem to have a way to enter the username and password for the Chromecast unit. No problem using my phone or tablet to start the process but when the Chromecast unit takes over the WiFi login stops the process. At home or where no login required for the wifi and it works great.

    I have been using Chromecast for a couple of years now, the 1st gen was a bit weak on the Wi-Fi connection but this 2nd gen is great.
