I use this when traveling and you have to create a personal wifi spot through your computer for this to connect to the hotel internet which makes it a little bit of a pain. At home I tried to use it but we don't have an internet connection and just use our phone plans. You have to have two phones to make it work. One for the internet connection and one to use as a remote. It is too much of a pain to use conveniently so it is not used at home.

Bought this to watch a stream from an app. I use it now to stream when I'm on the road.

Easy to set up, great item, but often drops the connection to my Wi-Fi, then it's difficult to reestablish. Awesome, when it's working

The OS on Chromecast hasntʻ changed all that much, but the WiFi range is noticeably greater and Itʻs great!

I love the new sleek chromecast. It is must smaller than the original and has a better wifi signal.

It's not as easy to use as other streaming devices, but it is hidden from view and works with Google Home.

Perfect for our offices we use to push to TVs in conference rooms and share screens / etc. works great

I have one smart tv and two tvs with Chromecast. Chrome cast is much cheaper and almost the same usage.

Purchased this Chromecast for use with small bedroom non-smart tv. Wanted to stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. After dl-ing the app and allowing all the extra permissions this app requires, this device would not recognize or connect with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. Then tried again to make this work with my phone. Spent MORE time allowing the phone app to have all the invasive location & ad permissions- as well as access to my email & texts (??!!), and the Chromecast still.would.not.connect. The only "tech help" available is the standard Google faq page. I am fairly tech-savvy, but this was silly. A $30 device should not be so frustrating to troubleshoot. It was easier to return it. I bought a new HD smart tv instead. FYI- less invasive permissions required for the smart tv ;)

Love Chromecast, so convenient and easy to use. The whole family is able to use from their own pH.
