Like they - unless you demand for more, you won't get more. This is a superb product. A lot has been said about it - all over the internet and for me it lives up to all that has been said. What can make it awesome? Well - 1. if a dashboard feature is add which can show all the user added apps and those apps can be selected or played using a remote app on the user's smartphone. 2. More apps/features like user defined slideshow. Weather display etc. (This is already being discussed on various internet forums). What it can do at present? 1. Converts your normal TV (having HDMI port) into a smart one. Supports lots of apps for casting videos - check chromecast site. 2. Casting a video in a webpage is possible via Chrome Beta browser. 3. Casting a web-browser is possible if your phone has screen casting feature. 4. A nice slideshow plays in loop when you are not playing any video. But this is not user defined. If you just want to watch web videos like the way you can do on a laptop then Chromebox can be good option. Overall this is a very good product and has huge potential - provided its makers move fast in opening it up for more features.

Great item I have two of these and have also bought for my family members and they love them too. Able to stream from laptop with ought all the wires and can even stream from my phone. Highly recommend

I am so happy with this purchase. It was on sale for a great price and we have been using it since we got it. It works great on my non-smart tv and we've been connecting to Netflix, youtube, etc. Great buy!

Bought this item superbowl weekend. Very reasonable price for all that it does. I find myself using it a whole lot. Works great! It does mess up every now and then like all electronics but it does its job!

I have an older HD TV in the living room, it works great but I needed a smart TV so I could watch VUDU movies, No need for a new TV Chromecast to the rescue, I love it.

This is a great product if you use netflix and any other chromecast compatible products. Only downside is that it is not windows compatible. Android seems to be the only thing it will work for right now.

The chromecast is an excellent product for the money you pay for it. Easy to use, easy to pair with almost any device and very portable. The lack of a control remote is compensated by the ease of use.

After trying HDMI cables with limited success, I find Chrome cast a very effective and easy way to cast movies on my TV. I am delighted with my purchase

This is my second one, I bought it for my new TV. I use it mainly for casting photos, movies and other stuff from my laptop, cellphone and tablet to my TV screen - very easy! Awesome idea and product.

I bough 1 for SAMSUNG TV and 1 for LED Projector. Both works perfect with my SAMSUNG NOTE3, and I can enjoy NETFLIX and YouTube in the same time. I don't need any cable to connect between them! It's easy!!

Very easy to use and easy to set up. Good price. The performance is outstanding and I've never had any problems with it.

We have one on each of our TV and it's great to be able to take one on the road when we travel. It's easy to setup and Google keeps connecting more and more to it.

This was for the TV downstaris in my boyfriends man cave. We usually just watch movies downstairs and wanted a way to stream netflix. Would recommend this product who want a simple way to make your tv smarter.

this is a great product to have just plug it in and go and stream movies Internet Netflix and other you can take on Business trips and just plug in and it's like being at home just an great product to have

This inexpensive little dongle helped my sister get much better access to Netflix, Hulu+, and YouTube. To be fair, she did have access before, but it was through the apps built into her "Smart" TV and Blu ray player. Those apps are not the easiest to use and don't provide a clean interface. The Chromecast however provides the best user interface... Her mobile device. Previously she would find content to watch on her Nexus tablet and then search for it using the Blu ray player. Once her device is associated with the Chromecast, all she has to do is toggle the Cast button on and start the show. Her tablet tells Chromecast what to play, but the Chromecast does all the heavy lifting of going onto the internet and streaming the content. She can even switch out of the app while the content is playing to do other things. Multitaskers rejoice! The only issue I've had has been infrequent connectivity loss. This was setup in an apartment building with a lot of other WiFi networks visible, so I think it may be more of a wireless congestion problem than any issue with the device. Additionally, Google has released the SDK (the code that lets developers make apps) so hopefully the number of supported apps will increase significantly. The current number of apps is much lower than that of Roku, but owning a Roku I can say that the number of apps I would use on it are way, way lower than the 1000+ that they advertise.

Very easy to connect, once connected and paired with another device, it becomes very easy to cast programs from a tablet or similar device to the TV, (Side note,I have noticed not all programs can be cast)

Exactly what I wanted so I don't have all those extra cables from the television. Item needs to be somewhat close to keep working properly but a good buy for price.

This product installation was as easy as 1 2 3 !!!!! I am dense when it comes to installing software or similar and I had absolutely no problems. I got the product on sale so it made the purchase even sweeter.

Very easy to use, super practical, and a great price. Definitely needed to read the manual to figure out all its features but very happy with my purchase overall.
