It is a good product to sync the laptop and smart tv. It would have been better if it is not restricted to just chrome browser and also supports the iPhone/iPad.

Chromecast is a great idea, but it's only as good as the equipment used and the program streamed. You need to load your streaming through Google Chrome. Chromecast and an extension were free apps available to download from Google.com. We bought this to link our laptop to our television for family viewing. The WiFi capability allows us to watch our son play baseball while scanning other websites. The picture quality isn't HD, but that could be due to our internet speed, laptop age, or the team streaming quality. We bought one for both of our parents and Best Buy had the best price.

Never knew these existed! Works great. Only problem is, on the display it said get 2 months of Hulu Plus free with purchase. No one had any idea how to get it.

Scoured the net and actually got the last one at a Best Buy quite far from me. I so far the drive was worth it. It's a fun little gadget that can stream almost anything to your TV from your phone or laptop. I basically got mine for $11 because I was able to qualify for the free 3 month Netflix in time - so I can't complain much. The regular features work pretty nice. The extra features, in BETA, to stream your pc desktop and movie files weren't perfect but worked. Desktop was a bit laggy moving the mouse. And a lot of the video files (format) wouldn't play when I dragged into the browser to cast to TV. I'm assuming it's a codec issue or BETA issue. Could not play almost all my mp4 and some other formats. I haven't messed with it in a while so hopefully an update fixes that. But all in all, a fun gadget if you wanna show of that you can stream your desktop and movies wirelessly with just one gadget.

Hard to figure out at first. But once you get the hang of it it's easy to use! Very convenient!hate that it has to be plugged in to the wall adapter though.

It works as expected, an easy way to stream movies and photos to the TV. However, streaming from a desktop computer is limited to the contents of a Chrome browser tab, and it gets rather slow.

I already had a Chromecast, and I loved it so much I bought one as a Christmas gift for a family member, and an extra for another floor in our house. The gift was a huge hit. I couldn't be happier!

Easy installation and set up. All apps show great music apps included, and the satellite view of the pictures as a screensaver are awesome would highly recommend chromecast well worth it thumbs up.

Today, we play with our phones so much. With chromecast I can cast whatever is on my phone phone to the big screen. Very convenient and I've already gotten my neighbors to purchase there very own.

The Chromecast is an awesome little device. I now own two of them since my wife stole my first one for her sewing room. You can run apps from your phone, tablet or computer. It's supporting apps like HBOGo and Netflix as well as Youtube and all of the Google Play apps. I use mine primarily for streaming music from Google's Play Music app. This lets me stream to my full surround sound system and if I'm hosting a party other people can just stream from their collections also.

Just the perfect companion for TV.. Even if you have a smart TV, if you own a android phone or Tab, this device makes your life so easy & lets you put absolutely anything on big screen - loved it!

If not having a remote to go with your streaming device works for you then Chromecast is the best device out there. Playing from my phone or computer has been a smooth transition every single time.

We already had a Chromecast and loved it, so decided to buy this one for my mom who is addicted to Netflix. What can I say? Easy to use, nice interface, great quality, simple setup - perfect gift!

When this first came out not many apps supported it. Now I can have TV shows or movies on my android phone and watch when I travel by using the ES chromecast app! Took I under two minutes to setup.

Easy set up and can play videos from my computer right to my television. Great device to have if you dont want to stretch a cable from your computer to the tv.

I love how it allows me to cast just about whatever I want onto my hdtv from my phone and all allows me to still use my phone regularly without Hassle I think everyone should have one of these

This was very easy to set up and very easy to use. I love being able to watch my Netflix or Hulu on my tv by using the chromecast. So many other options to choose from as well. Great purchase!!

Is easy to plug straight to the TV no cords or power to worry about I can control it with my phone or tablet. I also enjoy the screen savor when Im not watching anything and I just have it one.

If you're already streaming from your laptop to a TV, this will replace the HDMI cable! It's very easy to set up & use and works with many streaming services. Only downside is it has a dangling power-cord that requires a plug-in outlet nearby. There are already several things plugged into our power-strip, so you may need a larger one to accommodate the sideways power cord. Very good value for the cost.
