I love the 30 Dollar price and I love how easy it was to install and set up. But about all you can use it for us to watch Netflix and YouTube, unless you were set up on my laptop or home computer (not a tablet) and then you can see whatever is on Google Chrome. It does not have near the video sources as AppleTV

We got the chromecast to be able to stream netflix and other apps from our devices to other TVs and it is super easy to setup and use. Highly recommend if you are a streamer type.

This is a super easy way to stream on our television. We had Netflix and wanted to watch on our tv. A friend recommended we buy this Chromecast unit and it is exactly what we needed!

Picked this up at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago and it was an easy set up. Once connected to my wifi network I downloaded app and fired it up on my iPhone. For the price you can not go wrong although everything needs to be started on your device (phone, tablet or computer) then streamed to your TV by the chrome cast. One neat thing is casting of your computer on your TV...

Especially good with YouTube and other "simple" streaming video, although sports channels and movies play well, too. Simple set up and easy to use.

This is the second chrome cast I had to buy because our first one was used so much it didn't want to work anymore. I really like this product.

We have two TVs with Chromecast dongles. They work just as they should, and we use them all the time. It's pretty simple to set up. It seems to me that everybody should use this.

I bought this product as a mother's day gift. I thought it to be a perfect gift for my mom as she usually has her computer teetering on the TV stand connected using an HDMI cable to use her Netflix. It really was the perfect gift, however, my mom is NOT tech savvy at all. Instructions indicate that you can plug it in and be ready to go. It took a week and many phone calls with my mom to get her to figure out how to connect the phone with the chromecast. In the end, we did get it working and now she loves it, but it was quite a bit of headache in the beginning.

I purchased Chromecast to be able to watch shows on my bedroom tv, which does not have a full cable box, only a basic adaptor. It works great. I control it using my phone. I thought it ran from the phone, but it doesn't, the phone is used to pick the show or movie, then when you hit the cast icon, the Chromecast runs the show. You only need your phone to pause or stop it. It does not use up your battery, as the only time the phone stays connected, is if you are casting something directly from the phone, such as pictures, video on the phone or web content (this is when your phone battery is used). I am going to try using it when I am on vacation.

Simply attach this device to your HDMI slot and follow the promps. Easy to set up and fast. Make sure you have WiFi though or else you will not be able properly unilize this product.

With the right router, this baby is a gem. We had some problems with an old router and losing connection frequently, but the new router solved that. We cast multiple times a day now.

The chromecast is so cool. You can stream stuff from your phone or laptop directly to your TV with it. It's great for showing your friends YouTube videos or steaming Netflix or Hulu.

I really like the Chromecast - it was very easy to set up, and within 5 minutes I was connected to Netflix and using it to watch shows from my laptop. I like that it is so small, and is hidden behind the TV. The only downside is the lack of a remote. I didn't really like controlling FF and Rewind from my tablet in Netflix app. And it is lacking in access to some online access. Ultimately, I decided to return it and plan to get a Roku instead.

The Chromecast beats other streaming devices. It has so many uses and is not restricted like other streaming devices. You will definitely get your money's worth for this product.

I'm not sure if it's the device or the app but I sometimes have trouble syncing from my iPhone to my television. When it does work, it's great.
