The Chrome Cast does what it said it would do. But could be a excellent product by adding more functionality like the Amazon Fire Stick Tv.

It's a great little product with a lot of potential. The lack of major support from a wider variety of apps is disappointing. Also, there's no simple way to connect it in a hotel room due to the way their networks are set up. I do some traveling here and there and you can't use it without a work around. I'd still recommend it and hopefully the support will widen soon.

The best streaming device I own! I have roku, fire stick and chromecast and by far I prefer the chromecast by the easy way to stream everything from my android phone and tablet.

After reviewing this product I decided to buy this and was not disappointed at all. It was very easy to set up and connect to any of my devices to view on my big screen tv.

I got this for my son to use with his Samsung Galaxy tablet. Setup was a breeze - plugged it into the HDMI on the TV and used the supplied adapter to plug the USB power into the wall. Setup was a snap and he was casting within 5 minutes of receiving the Chromecast. Be aware that not everything can be cast - it is a good idea to check out the Chromecast page to review the services that will work before you make your decision to buy!

This is a great accessory for your TV. You can stream videos from your tablet or phone to your TV via Wifi. You have a HDMI and USB Port on the back of your TV to connect it.

This was a great addition so my TV, that is too far to be plugged into my home network, can stream flawlessly. Works great with Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney channel and HBOGo.

love this device. Cast anything from your laptop, phone or tablet to the device. Use it everyday from casting music, pandora, spotify, youtube, hulu and netflix and so forth.

I love the Chromecast. It set up in a matter of minutes and was able to be used to broadcast not just web based but also music and movies I had stored on my computer instantly.

I love my chromcast! It's one of my fav items. The only issue I have is when I want to use it in another room, I have to reset it. It maybe just me not loading it correctly.

Purchased primarily to watch netflix. Sets up pretty quick and easy to control from my iPad. I've had it about a month. It works great if I watch a movie or two, but if I've been watching netflix or youtube for more than 4 hours the unit heats up and the connection starts to degrade. At this point I've unplugged it, let it cool off, plug it back in and it's good to go.

Needed an immediate streaming device and opted this. I like this streaming from mobile and also laptops. Works great. Does the job neatly.

I do not have a smart TV and am tired of watching netflix on my phone. It was a great deal for the price. It'seasy to use and was easy to set up

I would be lost with it already. Very easy to use. My only thing would be I'd like to see the Amazon Prime app on it though I understand why.

I bought this the evening that Google announced its release, and boy was I sure happy I did. Only 3 days later, every retailer was completely sold out and these things which are normally a huge bargain were selling for over $100 on eBay. While I really love this thing, that price is insane and you have that kind of cash, I'd recommend a more expansive streaming device like a Roku, Apple TV, or Google TV--depending on the platform you prefer. In a nutshell, the Chromecast is very similar to the other streaming devices I just mentioned, but with one exception, it's way cheaper. Albeit, Roku, Apple and Google TV offer much more providers, but they also come at a considerably higher price tag, and in reality, if you can open it in a Chrome tab on your computer, you can probably cast it on your television...and any television you have in the house that is. I really only have one big complaint about this product. I feel like the advertisements were really misleading. If you watch any commercial on the Chromecast, Google will have you thinking that all it is is a little dongle that you just pop into an available HDMI port and you're off. However, that's not entirely true. There's also a charger that needs to be plugged in, either into an available USB port right on your TV or into a Wall Adapter. While this isn't a huge deal, it's obvious that this extra "step" is an annoyance, which is clearly why Google left it out of their advertisements. Note: If you do have a much newer television that is equipped with HDMI 1.4 ports, you lucked out! Your HDMI ports should provide enough power to the dongle that the USB power isn't needed.

The chromecast is easy to use. If you already have the online streaming apps on your phone or tablet, this device is for you!

We have put one of these on every TV in the house and love it. Between streaming the usual cadre of Netflix, Hulu, and the like; being able to stream anything else is great!

Perfect item if you don't have a Smart TV and good price. I heard another one comes with a remote which is cooler, but this does the job!
