Performed as hoped to display pictures and videos from Samsung G3 to TV. Did have to download app AllCast to make everything work though. Chromecast is limited to compatible apps. Easy setup and operation. Got it on sale from BB for $20, no brainer. In my opinion a must have item in the category of "solving a problem with the least amount of effort".

I needed something that could stream web content to my TV and the chromecast is perfect for that. Easy setup and simple for everyone to use. Only streaming service it doesn't work with that I found is Amazon but I have other options to handle that (Playstation, Roku). This is just perfect to send videos on YouTube to the TV for my son to watch.

This is such an awesome little device. It is very easy to set up and install and literally does what it says. It streams your tablet to your television. I will definitely have to purchase another one for myself. This one was bought for my children who do not have cable in their room. They play netflix, and videos constantly using their chrome cast.

Great device. I purchased this over the Holidays. My family and I were staying in Miami at a rental house and we were in need some entertainment for the evenings. Especially for my teenage sis....she gets board easily. And, well, you know kids these day...If it isn't [Insert trendy word for "cool" here] and "connected" to social media, then its not fun at all. (i.e. ~ If people actually have to interact with one another in real like, let alone there family. Anyway, back to the item. This thing was super easy to set up and get started. I had access to all my apps and I was still able to use the other functions on my phone as well. ONE THING I WILL WARN USERS OF, if you have it plugged into an outlet, it will get really hot and start to malfunction. It is powered by USB and I recommend using the USB port on you TV to power it. Other than that, as long as you have WiFi you are golden. This item is a must have for vacations or stay-cations!!

Google Chromecast HDMI streaming media player is an excellent choice for anyone looking for simplicity and efficiency. You start streaming from your device and it starts the TV for you. It's easy to install and simple to operate, definitely worth the money. We got ours as a Black Friday deal at Best Buy for less the $25, so I loved it even better.

The Google Chrome cast is a great product when it come to mirroring form your portable device, such as your Android phone or tablet. It does an awesome performance in connecting to my TV and can complaint about the price i paid for. Very affordable and reliable. I am an Android OS user and I approve this product to use it for your entertainment.

I bought this so i could watch Kodi on my TV. I have a roku 2xs, google TV, and cable.. I want to eventually "cut the cord". my only complaint is after a few hours it wants to disconnect, and i should have gotten a Nexus Player so i would only have one device and gotten rid of the Ruko. i

Ever since this came out i have been wanting one of these so badly but didnt really have a need for one up until recently when i decided to go ahead and buy it and i really love this tiny device. i use it ever single day and it performs better than my bluray player with wifi built in and it streams netflix better than the bluray player.

So I purchased the Chromecast as part of a special they were running that got me $20 in Google Play purchases in addition to the device. I pick it up and take it home. Take it out of the box. Plug it in. Switched to the HDMI 4 input and the initial setup screen pops up. Now I'm not going to sit here and say that the setup was difficult, but I do IT for a living and I was surprised at how unintuitive it was. There were steps that I had to "educated guess" to figure out. On top of that, I had assumed that it would work similarly to my Roku, but that also was not the case. True to its name, you don't have a menu you choose apps from, you instead install the Chromecast app on your phone and "Cast" the app to your TV. It works well enough, especially when you consider the cost. To be honest, I prefer to use my Roku if they both have the same app. BUT I do really like the option to Cast my phone screen to the TV since I have a compatible device (Galaxy Note 3). All and all, happy with my purchase.

Does what it says. I'm able to stream from my tablet, iPad, phone, laptop with out any problems. I can connect it to any TV or monitor with an HDMI input. Word of advice, depending when you buy it, this will require updates which take a while to download but it's part of Google keeping it up to date by adding additional apps and features.

For the price, it is a decent player. We purchased it to use exclusively for Netflix in a bedroom. We run into problems occasionally with the Netflix iPhone app and the Chromecast not communicating, but it could be due to an outdated router that is too far away to communicate effectively.

Chromecast is beyond worth the money. My wife and I immediately became addicted to the ease of being able to stream our Netflix and Hulu shows to our big screen tv. It's also fun to be able to bring up YouTube clips during a party. Why crowd around a tablet when you can relax like normally watching tv. This is honestly a must have.

Just plug the Chromecast HDMI streaming media player into HDMI TV and relatively easy setup and use. Excellent performance, awesome picture and great compact device at a great price.

There are more than a few ways to do what the ChromeCast does but for the money, this item is hard to beat. Why would you not get it? Streaming is pretty smooth. Only thing I would like is support for more apps and easier way to stream a movie from the PC. Overall, it is recommended.

Google chromecast is very good product. It is easy and quick install. The only issue i have is that it do not support ipad or android mobile yet. You can use applications like youtube or netflix from your phone or ipad but can not stream any video from your phone/ipad chrome browser.

I am very satisfied with my Chromecast. I would recommend it to anyone. I own Apple tv as well; I must say that being able to use it with my Note 5/I-Pad is one major advantage for this device over Apple TV. Not having a remote is the only reason I didn't give Chromecast a 5 Star rate. Lack of not having a remote is mainly a problem from some application during use from the I-Pad only; this make me think Apple might have something to do with these specifc limitations.This is what TV should be and i can only see providers slowing down how much we can benifit from having Chromecast on every TV in a home instead of multiple much larger boxes. I have seen prices drop under $30 this week during 4-hr sales; I plan to keep my eyes open to purchase additional one. I also like that the device is smart enough to connect back to the same network when moving to a different TV; this makes it easy when watching something and wanting to move to a differnt TV

The Chromecast has been on my "wish" list for ages, but I finally had need for one & decided to pick it up. I wish I hadn't waited so long - it's simple to set up & easy to use. It makes watching my shows incredibly easy, no matter where I am. I haven't experienced any issues with it, and I'd definitely recommend it to others.

Very easy to set up. Just plug in to your tv and go. With my android phones or tablets I can control, send pics and videos, watch uptube and also rent and stream videos from the google play store. I also use it to stream music through my home theater. I love it!
