I have stream a few movies and shows is ok

Chromecast - works great

Easy way to cast media to your TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Installed this on a free HDMI port on my AV receiver, and it works perfectly. The integration with Google music is straightforward and seemless, and has been the most frequently used feature. Ditto for YouTube; it's great to be able to cast video's to the TV. The casting from the Chrome browser is great in theory, but your actual experience will vary based on a few factors: the power/speed of your pc/laptop and the speed and reliability of your internet connection and wifi signal. It can be pretty rough at times. That said, this function is still technically in Beta. I have not used the Netflix integration very much as we have a Roku that works well for that. The original offer fro the ChromeCast included three free months of Netfix, and that made this a no brainer. Smoother, more reliable casting from a browser and additional app integration would make this a homerun.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.what a great upgrade of my tv because now i have anything any newer tv has. great apps are in companion to this product and everyone in the family now uses it flawlessly. goes pretty much head to head with others like roku or appletv's. best in comparison with those because the size of the chromecast gives my tv a clean look with no cable clutter.

Okay for most things

However, most major cable providers prevent you from using this (they don't have a google chrome button and won't let you play from the web browser) so we could only watch netflix and hulu (which we can watch directly from the SmartTV anyway).
