Great device, but not very compatible with iPad.

Easy to Set Up.

Using a phone or tablet and then being able to send it to the TV is really simple. I wish the Chrome Browser on a phone or tablet could project to the TV similar to how the Chrome browser on a desktop computer is able to.

Much handier than previous methods I used

I wish it could "cast" from other than Chrome. Be aware that there is a power cable that plugs into the end of the Chromecast, they never show that in any of the pictures.

excellent MacBook Pro

However, none lasted more than 3 years, and the chassis on my most recent one inexplicably split open in one corner, making it useless. This Mac was on sale so I saved $75 over the retail price and I am loving it ever since buying it. The transition from a WIN machine to the Apple system was relatively east. Just downloaded the free El Capitan OS system update and am looking forward to exploring it. Also, I love how my Mac is integrated with the same OS on my Iphone and Ipad.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.what a great upgrade of my tv because now i have anything any newer tv has. great apps are in companion to this product and everyone in the family now uses it flawlessly. goes pretty much head to head with others like roku or appletv's. best in comparison with those because the size of the chromecast gives my tv a clean look with no cable clutter.

Good fr what you get

It is easy to setup and using the power from the TV USB port was a great idea. The downside for me is I do not use google play movies. I would like to be able to "cast" other applications. Hoping for future options.

How did I live without this?

I had been using my Wii to stream netflix and hulu but the chromecast has made life easier. It's very efficient and easy to move from TV to TV if I need to switch rooms. I love that I'm able to stream things from my computer or phone to my HDTVs, like netflix and hulu but also amazon instant video or even youtube! Thanks Chromecast!
