Chrome cast is very easy to setup and use. Excellent performance so far. Initially I worried about streaming and casting from any websites other than the ones( YouTube , Netflix etc.,) compatible with chrome cast. But we have option to cast any video from any website using chrome beta. Excellent product to use.

hooked it up with no problems, i'd say it's even easier to setup and use than roku. streamed it with my phone and tablet, worked perfectly. I tried my laptop and it streamed fine at the lower resolution, but it lagged when i tried the high resolution streaming.

Chromecast was so easy to set up and that means alot coming from me. I've only used it to review my hundreds of photos on the TV screen. My disappointment is that it lost connection while using it. I still have to figure out what causes this. It can be frustrating.

This is a nice gadget to add functionality to any HDMI ready TV. Even if your TV is already a smart TV with access to apps like youtube, Chromecast adds amazing versatility to your setup. Think of it as extending your android phone and most of your PC functionality to your TV screen. A worth it device to buy.

I had pretty high expectations after reading the reviews, but you never really know until you get it home and try it out. This thing is stupid-simple to use, works flawlessly, and gives me more freedom to play media from multiple devices than I even imagined it would. I am immediately buying another one!

I love my Chromecast. Setting it up was simple and easy. I love how easy it is to stream anything to the TV. We mostly use it for Netflix and Music. I love the fact that if nothing is on TV, all i have to do is switch over to the Chromecast and bring up what you want on your phone/tablet and cast it to the TV.

I love the Chromecast. It makes projecting movies, YouTube and other computer related images on screen easy and fun. The only drawback is that you must be in Google Chrome to use Chromecast. So you can't project a PowerPoint presentation from windows. Other than that, it sets up easy and is user friendly.

If you have tvs in your house that are 3-5 years old or so like mine and are not "smart", meaning they did not come with any built-in way to connect to the internet, then this is the best and cheapest way to get stated. Plug this thing into an hdmi port on your tv, give it power by usb to tv or by usb adapter to outlet, and you're halfway there. Download the chromecast app and setup is simple. Just join it to your wifi, give the device a name and you're done. Outstanding to use with Netflix and Youtube. With Netflix I have not had any problems with buffering. Movies load right up, quality is great and i love how you can pause from your device. Youtube is great because you can add videos to a que so they will play right after eachother. Awesome for parties and kids love seeing their favorite videos on big screen. Ya know...kinda like MTV used to be. Also, i have cast to chromecast with ipods, ipads, and 3 different android phones. Works great!

Was easy to set up and i am now using it to steam Pandora, YouTube with my smartphone and tablet.Also downloaded and installed Allcast and use it to view picture and videos, and play my mp3 music files. Have not used it yet to view commercial tv or movies yet but will repost when i get around to trying that.

Great device for streaming Netflix and YouTube. Low price and easy to set-up. Not compatible with all devices yet. Down the road, this could be the best deal in tech.

The chromecast is a great addition to any TV that you want to expand its' capabilities. Though similar to Apple TV, I found the chromecast to be a bit more user friendly. It's easy to use, easy to setup, and the quality for video/sound is pretty good.

Looking to cut the cord? This is one small investment that'll make it worth it. I use this with my PlayOn software and Netflix. Works great, sets up easy and I can take it with me and use it on any TV with hdmi. You won't be sorry with this.

this device makes it so easy to stream from my phone, tablet or computer to my big screen tv. With my wi fi the picture quality is good and the whole family can now watch the same streaming movie. I have one attached to several tv's. the price is reasonable and it is easy to hook up and easy to use.

Recommended to me by a friend and I would recommend it to others also. It is so sweet to be able to show everyone what is on your phone at once instead of showing individual people one at a time while the rest of the conversation moves on without you. My son was in a play and I was able to stream the video I took on my phone so all the family could see it. When I find something funny in an app or a youtube video...boom...share it on the big screen. I was initially disappointed when I started using the chrome cast because I could not figure out how to share everything. I did a google search and came up with "allcast" which I consider to be an absolute requirement for chrome cast users. Download it in the play store and it will allow you to share a lot more than the chrome cast does on it owns.

If you are like me, you have one TV in the bedroom and one TV in the livingroom, who knows maybe you have another elsewhere. The issue is you're never in the same room twice, maybe you got booted out of your livingroom so the children can play video-game, which is what typically happens in my house, so I retreat to my bedroom to watch TV or listen to music. Often times the cable networks never have what I want to watch on, so I listen to music. So Google music it is, or enhanced music through YouTube, projected on my TV. That's right, I am not relagated to watching music videos on my phone, I can watch it on something more robust with surround sound. Being able to watch hbogo, Netflix, Disney TV, and many other programs, my Chromecasts do awesome! Oh and when the children go to bed and I can get my livingroom back, I can go back downstairs and continue my cast on my Chromecast in the living room. (2 seperate Chromecast needed). Got to also love the ability to project my photos and others media to the TV as well.

The chromecast is excellent for streaming almost anything to your HDMI enabled screen. I mostly use it to stream my home video collection for kids and guest's kids. But the wife loves it to watch all the downloaded drama. I would recommend it to any one. Even none tech people. Simple setup and go.

This Chromecast was easy to set up and use. It takes up very little space and easily hidden behind a flat screen. While it is a slight negative that the device requires a smartphone or tablet to operate, the positives more than make up for this.

Paid $27 for it on sale and got $20 Google play credit. Was a Christmas gift for my daughter and she loves it. Streams Netflix and Hulu from her iPhone. all you have to do is plug it into a hdmi port and download an app and it streams it to your tv

We were looking for a way to watch our home videos from our computer on the TV. The Chromecast was easy to install and easy to use. The only downfall, it sometimes doesn't like to disconnect and will keep playing Netflix in the background.

Love this product. My 10 year old plasma TV is now a smart TV. Now I can Cast my Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Pandora, Google Play Movies and Photos using my Andoid phone as a remote control. One of the best things is the price...considerably less than any similar products and a very easy set up.
