This is my second one. I need to get one for every TV in the house so I can drop cable and save money in the long run.

I love the chrome cast because I can stream movies to my tv. My little girl thinks its the best thing since sliced bread!

This is an amazing little toy if you don't already have something to stream Netflix. It's great because it is really easy to use and setup, but it would be nice to have more apps to stream. Currently there is only support for Hulu, Netflix and YouTube. This thing is extremely portable. I can plug it into any TV in the home and it works.

Google Chrome Cast rocks I can't imagine watching a movie on my laptop ever again

Internet access is needed in order to set-up Chromecast. With internet access the set-up and using Chromecast is easy.

This little device was recommended by a few friends. I bought this for my husband for fathers day as one of his gifts, and by far his favorite (and cheapest)! It was a little confusing to start it, just for the fact of finding apps to download so we could watch movies for free. Sometimes it stops at the beginning and sort of "freezes" like a scratched dvd would stall, but a rather easy fix. Worth every penny!

It works and meets my streaming needs. The tradeoff is to install an app for each media source.

I'm sure you're aware by now that Chromecast is a pretty sweet device. The only downside is that it is limited to certain apps and casting your screen can be annoying if you don't have a decent internet provider/connection. I'm giving this 4 stars as the first Chromecast I bought didn't work out of the box. After returning this at my local Best Buy the second device worked flawlessly and I haven't had issues since.

This was a Christmas present for my husband. He seems to like it. Convenient, with no wires.

Friend had one and i just enjoyed how easy it was to use my Netflix and Huluplus.

I record a lot of videos of my daughter and her marching band I, stream Netflix videos, YouTube videos I love the simplicity of having the app on my phone that works with the chromecast the videos pop up almost instantly and they stream without buffering it does everything I expected it to do and that's what I like in a product

I total love my chromecast, soo easy to use. all you need is a smartphone and i will outshine most smart TVs out there

We really liked Google Chromecast. Easy to install and use. We enjoy sharing and watching the movies in bigger screen

was pretty easy to set up and use. just took a little time to set up at a friend's place

I can now watch netlix, hbo go, ect. on my tv with no problems, very good purchase for me

This unit can be installed by anyone. Give it to you 5 yo and I'm certain they can have it up and running in 10 minutes.

Chromecast is an awesome device that has a lot of potential. For me, I bought 4x of them because I know that they will be useful for TV's that don't actually have cableboxes or other input connected to them such as my mounted Kitchen LED TV and my LCD TV in the office. Once I connect the chromecast device to these tv, I can easily enjoy my entertainment on these TV's that has no cable boxes connected to them. I don't have to go out and buy more hardware, I just use my existing Laptop and a chrome browser and I tab cast my browser which is where I intake most of my content from right onto the screen. Also it works with Youtube, netflix and Google Movies. I think for the $35, this is a great investment. Hopefully some more features are available soon.

My Boys love fact that anything they have on their phone and want to share for everyone to see on our TV is easily done!

I can't seem to figure out how to access the apps while casting from internet chrome. This should be more transparent if it can be done. Device was a little finicky about maintaining its status within our home wifi network at first. Had to reset it multiple times, but eventually it start keeping the connection just fine and I have no idea why. There seems to be some "bugginess" but it is better than LG smart box or Roku if you want to be able to access Internet and cast it to a non-smart TV which has HDMI port, especially if you want to show things for which there is no app. I can't figure out how to properly use its apps in casting and consequently just connect to my Netflix and Hulu subscriptions so I just cast a page in Chrome and then sign into my Netflix and Hulu as I normally would if watching them on my computer. I really like that once you get the page playing on your TV you can minimize it on the computer and continue using your computer for other things.
