It makes life easier. Easy to cast my videos in TV. That too my HDTV automatically switches on when I cast. Great

Yeah, so it's from Google, which automatically means it's awesome.... Other than that, this is my third one. Every non-smart TV in the house has one and it's great to be able to stream directly from any Android device to any TV, and for only $35. I've bought 3 and still not spent what Apple wants for one Apple TV. LOL. Now with Cast Screen, you can share the exact screen of your phone to the TV, yes that means 80" of Clash of Clans!! Buy one for every TV in your home.

It is a great little device. Sometimes it takes a while to connect using my ipad. Just wished it had more apps like for instance being able to go to ABC.com or Amazon streaming etc. Would DEFINITELY recommend this device. I have already given several out for gifts. Love it!

I have one of these on every tv in my house. These little guys are the best. I can literally play anything on them.

It is dirt cheap. meanwhile easy to setup. I like it.

This device basically allows your TV to mimic what is on your phone, tablet, and or laptop. Which mean your hand held device will also be your remote. For what it is I think it is a great product but quickly went back to using my roku stream stick which has all the apps built in to it and has a remote. The chrome cast doesnt

Bought one just for youtube streaming and watch Hulu on tv, which is awesome! It's very easy to use and convenient!

If you don't have a smart TV, this works fine to stream Netflix, Hulu, HBOgo, etc...

The chromecast is very easy to setup and use. Works well with laptop and desktop chrome browser. Several other apps and devices are not yet compatible with the device. Sometimes there is a lag with voice and action. Over all a very inconspicuous and useful device. Worth it!

Got this as a gift for my bf he loves it! He even got it to stream a movie on the Internet through safari internet!

Plugged it in, used my cell phone and it worked. I have never had a problem with it and it always works as promised.

First, buying from Bestbuy was cheaper than Google Play (free shipping). But the digital download for 3 months of Netflix has not worked for me. The device setup is easy from a computer on your wireless network. I used my laptop. You need to download an app to connect and do the discovery which is fairly easy. You will need to use Chrome browser and add-on the casting app. The problems I had were around two things. First, I needed to connect to the TV HDMI port. I have a HDMI switch connecting my ATV, TiVo, and Xbox 360, and the signal seems to drop, so I had to use a port on the TV itself. a bit of a pain to get to in my setup. Second, I needed to add power to the Chromecast as the HDMI port was not powered. This meant stringing a new extension cord to the TV. I am annoyed a little bit by having a lag in video between the laptop and the TV display. You cast from the browser, so for some Flash videos you get the laptop view and the TV view which is delayed. I can't cast my local video files from the browser by doing a file:///myvids/vid thing, so that is a bummer. So it does have limits, but is an interesting dongle to play with.

Excellent for streaming movies, TV shows, ESPN app so when your game isn't televised.... What a deal recommend!!!!!
