Needed a device to stream my movie apps and for website streaming, chromecast works great for this!!

Bought the chromecast to stream media from my phone and laptop since i do not have cable television.

The only complaint is it doesn't work for showbox movies but shows yes. ..

Very easy to use. I installed one for myself, loved it so, that I bought a second one for my parents.

The benefit of this is it can make any computer or device stream without newer WIDI or direct HDMI connection. Another benefit is turning iPod touches or any tablets into really nice remote controls. Downside is that apps must support it and not all do.

Turned my dumb TV into a smart one! Just can't wait to get home and use it.

Chromecast is great. If you have a tv that isn't a Smart tv but has hdmi and USB, I don't know why you wouldn't get this. Easy to use and upgraded your tv without having to pay it's essential full price. Get this one. It's pretty cheap. And useful. Even makes a great gift like this one was for me.

Bought this on a whim to try it out. Setup was quick and easy. Picture quality is much better than I expected and it's quick and responsive and the functionality it provides for video and audio from my phone is well above the cost.

These are so simple and so cool. Make sure you check out the games that are available, good cheap fun.

Right out the box. 1 2 3 and you're done. I'm 66 and I'm amazed that I had no problems with the setup.

This is a nifty little product. I love being able to watch Netflix on any tv that I connect this to.

It is very easy to use and allows us to watch anything on you tube or Netflix that we want at anytime!

I can use this to watch all the korean dramas available on viki and other apps like HBO GO and watch espn

Take out package. Plug it in and set it up. Enjoy being able to cast most of my phone content on to TV

Got this for a tablet I got through Verizon. The tablet I was using before was a kindle fire HD and used an HDMI cable to output to TV which I thought was great. But this blows that out of the water. So easy to hook up and use. No lag. I love that it's just a click to send my movies to the TV.

Not sure it was easy to understand what it really does. Said you could use Netflix and bunches of other apps, but it really relies on you having the apps loaded on a smartphone or tablet and using the Chromecast app to cast the screen from your device to it. Makes it nice to view a movie on the TV instead of looking at the device. Mine says I'm connected to the wifi network but can't access the internet for some reason. No advanced settings on device that I have found to make it connect to the internet directly. It strictly is used to cast screen from my device to the Chromecast device plugged into the TV. Do like that I can plug the Chromecast into the HDMI port and power it through the USB on the TV instead of the wall. Not sure I would purchase again based on my usage so far, but cheaper option than a gaming system with my apps loaded like Netflix, Hulu, etc. If anybody has same situation on wifi connectivity but no internet connectivity directly to Chromecast device, please post if solutions (or whether that is normal).
