Not sure it was easy to understand what it really does. Said you could use Netflix and bunches of other apps, but it really relies on you having the apps loaded on a smartphone or tablet and using the Chromecast app to cast the screen from your device to it. Makes it nice to view a movie on the TV instead of looking at the device. Mine says I'm connected to the wifi network but can't access the internet for some reason. No advanced settings on device that I have found to make it connect to the internet directly. It strictly is used to cast screen from my device to the Chromecast device plugged into the TV. Do like that I can plug the Chromecast into the HDMI port and power it through the USB on the TV instead of the wall. Not sure I would purchase again based on my usage so far, but cheaper option than a gaming system with my apps loaded like Netflix, Hulu, etc. If anybody has same situation on wifi connectivity but no internet connectivity directly to Chromecast device, please post if solutions (or whether that is normal).

Easy to install, easy to operate and very affordable what's not to like? Yes, I shall be purchasing another of these for another area of my home.

At $35 it is the best value to stream Netflix on my HD TV. It took a couple of minutes to install and configure. I works great and I like the idea that I can continue to use my laptop or smartphone for other things as I watch Netflix. I look forward to other streaming services. This is a :MUST" buy!!!

Bought the Chromecast after trying out Roku 3. Has exceeded expectations and does what we want it to!

I like the size, cost, and that it can be powered by the sub port instead of another power charger.

The product work per its instructions. Since I failed to do research, I did not know it required a WiFi connection to work. Therefore, a personal router is required for areas without WiFI or with secured WiFi that you can not access. Foolish me assumed it was a Bluetooth connection, which would make it ideal for traveling. Therefore for me, the cost is more than $35.
