Descent for what it does

Said you could use Netflix and bunches of other apps, but it really relies on you having the apps loaded on a smartphone or tablet and using the Chromecast app to cast the screen from your device to it. Makes it nice to view a movie on the TV instead of looking at the device. Mine says I'm connected to the wifi network but can't access the internet for some reason. No advanced settings on device that I have found to make it connect to the internet directly. It strictly is used to cast screen from my device to the Chromecast device plugged into the TV. Do like that I can plug the Chromecast into the HDMI port and power it through the USB on the TV instead of the wall. Not sure I would purchase again based on my usage so far, but cheaper option than a gaming system with my apps loaded like Netflix, Hulu, etc. If anybody has same situation on wifi connectivity but no internet connectivity directly to Chromecast device, please post if solutions (or whether that is normal).

At $35 it is a GREAT value

It took a couple of minutes to install and configure. I works great and I like the idea that I can continue to use my laptop or smartphone for other things as I watch Netflix. I look forward to other streaming services. This is a :MUST" buy!!!

Great Product

Not that many apps, however if you use google chrome on your computer, you can watch anything by installing the Cast Extension! I bought two of them! Def recommenced for people who stream shows or watch a lot of Netflix and stuff.
