Extremely easy set up (less than 5 minutes). Works awesome. Makes any phone or tablet the remote and you can still use the phone/tablet for other things while playing. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to connect TV to the internet for movie/tv show viewing.

I got the chrome cast out of curiosity. I use Apple TV on my other television and I'm used to it a little more. Chromecast lets you view from your mobile (Apple) device on certain apps like Netflix. It doesn't do full mirroring on iOS devices. Tech support says they're working on iOS to work fully soon. My wife uses an android phone and it works great with it.

This googlecromecast is excellent little piece easy to connect with and app with your phone or your computer. It took me less than 3 min. I bought an app name avia a this tranfer everything to your tv from your phone. The price is excellent to get it on every tv in your house. I love it.

The Chromecast is a great device for getting Netflix / Youtube on a TV. That said there are a few flaws; if more then one device is used to control the Chromecast then it just breaks - ideally it would allow multiple devices to queue up Youtube videos etc, instead it kills whatever is streaming as soon as a new device tries to connect. The mirroring also has a delay compared to the actual screen and is laggy. Finally in Netflix when using the iOS app the connection is often broken to the device during watching, so if I want to pause the video it can take up to 2+ min to respond, or requires a force restart of the app. Overall a great device, just one that needs more polish on the software side. Best Buy was great to order this device from; they had stock when others were sold out and provided fast and free delivery - no problems!

I use this to watch movies from Netflix and clips from You Tube from my iPad, and even though I have the Apple TV adapter, this requires no special set up or plugging in each time, you just click on the symbol once you have chosen a movie and it comes on. It is great! And so inexpensive!

I love my Chromecast . I am able to cast video s and movies from my phone to my television.

This is a good option for the cord-cutter, although not as good as a Roku. One good thing about it is that it can be completely hidden behind your TV if you have a USB port, but the Roku stick is cheaper for this purpose. Also, it casts Chrome pages from your phone/tablet/PC to your TV, great for watching shows online that are otherwise unavailable (ex. CBS). My major gripe is that it doesn't cache Wifi credentials. For example: you use it at home but one day use it at a friend's house. When you come home, you have to reconfigure the connection to your home network. I'd also like to not need a third-party app to cast photos from my iPhone, but I understand. Plus, the external power requirement (USB or AC adapter) adds a cable to your setup. I personally would spend the extra $15 for a Roku stick.

works well with Netflix and you tube! needs good wifi speed though.
