Excellent product for little $
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great way to make your dumb TV smart. You use your phone as the remote to start the casting process. After the TV is displaying the content you can actually turn off your cell phone as the Chromecast takes over the streaming. The phone is only used to interface with the Chromecast. Since this product can also display content from a Chrome browser tab it is very useful business presentations on a TV as well.

Love the Chromecast

There is one slight hitch and that is that the device functions as a router in your home network and can sometimes cause problems with wi-fi connectivity. I had a few problems early on but none as of late. There's enough content on YouTube alone to make this well worth the price. For those interested in cutting the cable there's an infinite amount of stuff to watch!

Worth 10x what is costs

Plug it in, sync it to your WiFi, then you're ready to cast from any compatible device. I use it to stream Netflix and other applications on my TV that only has cable hooked up... I also bring it with me when I travel so I don't have to watch on my 10" tablet, I can now watch on the 40" hotel room TVs. Great product... i'm going to buy 2 more for other rooms.
