Google has done a great job for a first stab at the home entertainment console. The Chromecast is very easy to setup and use. It can be controlled simultaneously by any smart device in your house. That in my opinion is a wonderful feature. I got it with the 3-Mo Netflix offer, and with that its a great value for price even considering that it currently only supports YouTube and Netflix. I will be waiting for support from more apps like Hulu, Spotify, Amazon Instant video, etc. and with Google already releasing the SDK, I hope it happens soon.

Nice little product. I have multiple streaming devices including - Logitech revue Google TV box (sucks, highly unreliable, crashes all the time), FireTV stick (no complaints), Apple TV (no complaints) and the Roku Stick (little pricy), and Google Chromecast. What I love about the Chromecast is that I can push content using my phone or tablet. The streaming quality is great. Between this and FireTV or Roku TV, the Roku definitely has more channels. My only issue is that this doesn't come with a remote similar to a FireTV and Roku.

easy to install. Entire family was casting from multiple devices in minutes. The apps opened up undiscovered programming for our kids. By far best value cf to more expensive wifi devices. Will buy more units for travel purposes.

All you need is Wifi and a HDMI port on your TV to make your dumb TV smart. Streaming apps, capability to cast from other screens (phone, tablets, etc.) to your television and new content added often make this a great pickup.

We bright this for our daughter because she doesn't have a smart tv. This is a great buy. She able to watch all the movies she wants. Can even use it to get on YouTube. She loves it. It's easy to set up. We set up within 10min.

If you are into online media streaming this is a must have. Every day more apps are added that make use of this nifty device. I had my reservations but it streams crystal clear and set-up was a breeze. I have one on every TV.

Just plug the Chromecast HDMI streaming media player into HDMI TV and immediately begin enjoying YouTube, Netflix and other streaming videos. Excellent performance and awesome picture at a little cost. Great device and easy to use.

Perfect for not a smart tv, now I can enjoy my Netflix and watching youtube videos. And I can control it with any of my mobile devices.

I have bought the Chromecast for a lot of my friends and family as a gift, because for what it can do, you can't beat the price. It works great with many apps on android (and iPhone) phones, and more supported apps are added all the time. I used it to stream music from Google Play Music and shows the background art as a collage, not just a still image. My friends liked that they can share content from their phones onto my TV. Only issue that I had was initially my phone had to switch to the 2.4 GHz wireless band from the 5 GHz that I usually connect my phone to, since the chromecast only supports the former. Not really a big deal since it autocorrects after.

Lot of functionality in a very small package. Both android and ios devices are supported. Setup is easy, anyone with a minimal tech background will be able to intuitively set this thing up a be streaming in no time. Google cast is nice also because you can cast content and not just mirror the device so you can cast a show/music but still surf the web on the same device. Must buy for the price if you have a smartphone or tablet, you can cast content from google chrome on a pc as well. Many options to consider. Great device!

Google's Chromecast is an awesome streaming device for people looking for something user friendly. All you have to do is click the cast button on your favorite apps like Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc. and it connects to your chrome cast and you are good to go! The only things I can say negatively are that it builds up static and makes this really annoying feedback if you connect your TV to headphones. A 6-ft HDMI Extender solves that issue, but it still needs to be resolved, and it would be nice to be able to use a chrome cast without a mobile device. Add a remote and its amazing. Overall, great product, a few bug fixes and it would get 5 stars from me.

The Google Chrome is a fantastic device, it's easy to handle and user friendly. It makes any TV similar to a smart TV. It can be used with any android smart phone, i phone or tablet.

PRO: Good for having your TV function as a photo album display, or for broadcast watermarking purposes. CON: When delving into the setting of the casting device via your smartphone & disabling the stock-feature-display options ; featured photos on the Chromecast tend to display here-and-there if a chosen, personal, photo album does not have more than two images residing in it. (**By Personal Experience**) PRO: THE best investment for a consumer seeking a device to stream full-length movies from their tablets, phones, computers -- as well as a slew of other media content -- to an easy to use, simple to navigate, sleek & compact, not to mention portable, HDMI entertainment receiver. ON THE FENCE?: Some owners & skeptics of this product stand with the crowd that isn't too pleased about this product having to be supplied power via micro/USB. However, this is actually a huge advantage for the device, over others of its kind which do not require an external power source. Being more powerful than anticipated by the average, non-tech-savvy consumer, the Chromecast can handle content sent to it quite a bit more than admirably considering the different forms of digital media used today and the quality of it. The rendering that this little piece of work dishes out will pretty much be the same as what the user sends to it (provided that the network which the Chromecast is connected to is up to par & does not have a lot of high data traffic). ALL IN ALL VERDICT: A Definite, MUST BUY!

Google's Chromecasf is an awesome value. It's low cost and easy to set up. What I like most is that you don't have to keep up with another remote control to use Chromecast; it works right from your smartphone, tablet or computer. Google is adding more selections, but for now the choice of apps isn't as good as Apple TV or Roku, but you can use Chromecast to watch Netflix, YouTube or Google Play and listen to Pandora. I enjoy my Chromecast enough that I bought two of them, one for the living room TV and one for the bedroom.

Bought this as a gift, but already have one for my home. It is reliable and easy to use and provides good quality streaming capabilities. Wish it could support Amazon streaming also.

The Chromecast is like a wireless hdmi cable used only for certain apps. I mainly use it for Netflix and YouTube. I have it for my phone and laptop and it's so easy to use just a click of a button and its on my tv screen.

Easy set up and works perfect. I did need to buy an extension because the TV didn't have enough clearance for the device, but not a big deal and only a minor expense. Also gifted three for gifts and all were very pleased.

I bought the Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player this past fall, and I really like it. I use it to watch Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube, and sometimes Pandora for the music. Both the picture and sound are great on my TV and are better than on my laptop or tablet, not that these are bad in themselves. I have Verizon FIOS, and even as fast as the Wi-Fi is with FIOS, I sometimes get some buffering. This is not Google's problem, but I only have two HDMI connections on my TV. Thus I have to share one HDMI connection between the Chromecast player and my Blu-Ray player. Sometimes that is inconvenient. Overall I am pleased with my Chromecast player..

I bought it when it was on sale, less than $30 plus $20 in Google store credit, great deal. Very easy to set this thing up. Great for wireless stream from android devices. I'm using it for Netflix, good quality of video.

This is an inexpensive mode of "casting" programs on your big screen. This device uses one of the HDMI ports on your tv in conjunction with a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. The available apps continues to grow - favorites are hulu, netflix, youtube etc. It is very easy to use. I have given some as gifts as well. I would rate it higher, but until more apps are developed in conjunction with Google, I still give it a 4+
