Performance is entirely dependent on you having a good/faster, IN RANGE router... The 'signal' is passed from your computer, to the router, then back to the TV...(or at least from netflix/internet to your router to the TV) If your router is physically far away, or has to go in a straight line thru several walls/floors, you might have to move it closer to the TV you want to use this on. So many variables affect WI-FI, but some developers say no more than 10 meters from the TV. Also, they never really show it in the advertisements, but you DO have to plug this into a 110v outlet...so if you don't have a free outlet spot, pick up a power strip on the way home. You might be able to plug it into a USB port on your TV if it has one, but on many models, these outlets go dead when the TV is off... If you plan to have the phone app turn your TV on automatically when you 'cast', this makes a difference.

If you need complete streaming, then HDMI Cable is the best option. If features improved, then best for the pice & quality.
