Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product is cheap and works great. Plugs in to HDMI port on TV and allows casting for multiple devices. Perfect for playing music videos at a party or for that person who always has some trailer or video to show you.

Great streaming device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast is great for streaming from any device to your TV. Even apps that aren't supported by chromecast can still be streamed by using the chrome browser add on that streams anything that's on your chrome browser.

Good product, serves it's purpose, kid friendly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy setup. Love watching Netflix using this instead of through the PS3. No lag and picture quality is great. Very user friendly, my kids can use it. Downside to it is it's slow when streaming from the Chrome browser from the laptop and the screen cast Beta is very slow (understandable since its experimental). Its always powered "ON" which is ok but it increases my carbon footprint. But ultimately it serves its purpose. I'm happy with it.

Lots of promise, needs more support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My household is a mixed environment with lots of Windows and plenty of Android devices running around. We primarily use an XBox 360 in the living room for streaming and other media content but I figured for $35 it was absolutely worth giving this device a try. For the very limited amount of support that it currently has, it works pretty well. We were able to get an Android phone, and Android tablet, and a Windows laptop to recognize the device as soon as it was setup (which was pretty simple) and we were pretty much on our way. It really does work pretty much as advertised, especially from an Android device, and for that alone it's probably worth the price. Do be careful about the WiFi networks though. We run both 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks with multiple APs on both, and none of those APs are in the room with the TV. The Chromecast only supports 2.4ghz, but you must be on the same network as the Chromecast to control it, so if you have a device on the 5ghz network it CAN NOT see the Chromecast. This can be irritating having to switch over the other network, and the extra interference inherent in that spectrum, in order for this to be useful. We have also found that the streaming quality from a Chrome tab on the laptop was MUCH better when we moved an AP into the same room.

Good value for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was fairly easy to set up on my home network. Some of the instructions from Google left a bit of trial and error for me as this was a fairly new product when I bought it. I have used it to stream from both a new and older Android tablet, as well as from an android phone. I have also used it with both a laptop, and desktop computer that use the Google Chrome Browser. It does not yet work with my Windows Phone. We have noticed some lagging between the device and the display at times. Other times it works great with no lag. Some of that may have to do with the time of the day and the site we are using to cast our streaming media.

Good for movie Streaming and Pandora
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product works great for streaming available apps from your phone to Your TV. I used and was pleased with Netflix Pandora and hulu. But it does not work well with Google Chrome. It had heavy lag and trying to watch movies this was is a waste off time. Also Google play will not let you stream legally purchased music on my phone that was bought outside of the play store (for me and many other users this is all of our music). Another negative is that when it is fully charged and still plugged in it emits a bright blue light which is incredibly annoying in my bedroom when I want to sleep. This makes it where I have to unplug it every night. While most of this review is negative I want to make it clear that I am pleased with this purchase as the ability to stream Netflix and Pandora from my phone to my non-smart TV is well worth the 35$. But this devise a ton of wasted potential that I hope Google will improve in the future.

Great Product Functionality... but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Chromecast does exactly what I hoped it would do: allow me to stream movies from my PC to my TV. Overall I am very pleased with the ease of setup and use. My only complaint is the length of the power cord - it is WAY too short! It's only about 3 to 4 feet long which makes it almost impossible to plug into an outlet without an extension cord. My TV is mounted on the wall above a chest of drawers in my bedroom and the power cord isn't long enough to reach the wall outlet without the use of an extension cord. Not a huge deal since it's behind the bureau, but it may be an issue if you don't like 'dangling cords' showing.

Simple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple set-up, and easy streaming. This is better than the typical set-top boxes you can get, and also allows you to "Cast" your tablet/phone screen onto the TV!

Great Product for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Google - Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player. It is small and easy to use. The only problem is that there is a delay in relaying if you casting a movie or video.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast is great! It's small and un-noticeable unlike my Roku. It's easy to set up. I was able to set it up in 1 minute on my cell phone and just a few minutes on my tablet. It's easy to use and my kids love it.

Excellent product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its an excellent product if you know what it does (works with almost anygoogle apps). For example, don't expect amazon compatibility. Now, they are adding more apps and also some games. For the price, its a must.

Simple. Easy to install. Flawless/
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $35 you turn your old HDTV into a new Smart TV. I have a great plasma that I have had for about 5 years now and I picked one of these up and was simply blown away at how well this thing was designed. Very clean, very simple to install. Takes literally two minutes to setup and then after that you can stream to it from any device on your Wifi. Plus when I got mine Google was running a promo and giving a $6 Google Play Store credit to owners of these so in reality I got it for under $30. Cannot recommend this product enough! I went and bought one for my mother and then installed it for her, showed her how to use it and then a few days later I get a text telling me how happy she is with it and thanks me for getting her one of these.

Incredibly easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This may have been the most easy-to-set-up device I've ever used. I also like that it fits neatly behind the TV so you don't even know it's there. It does a great job of mirroring what's on my laptop's Chrome browser.

Great device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Chromecast works very well. Little setup required, and starts very easily. I like that the Sony Bravia TV I use it with will automatically switch to the preferred input when my phone turns the Chromecast on.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's easy to set-up and doesn't take up any room. Casting from my tablet or laptop is very convenient and easy. Casting from a tablet is a breeze. No problem with mirror casting the tablet as well. Everything runs smoothly, quality is good. I believe depending on the laptop, you might experience lagging if you cast through the Chrome browser with the the Google Cast extension. I have tried casting from 3 laptops - the oldest an HP with a AMD 8 processor definitely shows lagging while my other 2 laptops (Lenovo is about 2 years old, other, HP is newer) with Core i5 processor shows no lagging. It streamed smoothly so, I'm not sure if that have anything to do with the processor? Overall, neat little gadget to have.
