The chromecast works great for projecting tablet or phone content on my TV. The video and audio quality are excellent and with Android 5.0 on my devices, I can cast my entire screen if I wish. The setup was easy and took less than 5 minutes to sync everything.

Great product for that TV not hooked up to cable or Dish

This product was really good for streaming all of the main stream apps like netflix, hulu, HBOgo, youtube, etc. However the feature of streaming your web browser to the TV was okay. The quality was not was what i wanted and there was a noticeable delay with sound and picture. If you need it to stream the main apps great product.

I love my Chromecast! The only slight issue I have is the streaming quality with those not integrated yet. For example, Xfinity streaming can be a bit choppy, but Netflix and YouTube run perfectly. I fixed the issue by tinkering with some settings and dropping the resolution slightly. It now streams without any issues and the quality is still good. Overall, I love Chromecast and use it all the time. It's going to be one of my go-to gifts for the holiday season.

The first one I bought was so helpful I had to get one for every TV in the house.

You simply get what you pay for. $35 streaming device gets you only 3-4 apps to stream (so far). Netflix, youtube, hbo go and viki are the only ones compatible to stream. What's good is its multi platform compatibility. Works with android (of course) and even IOS devices. PC compatibility is still on beta stage. It would have been nice if google can make you extend your desktop to your tv via chromecast. But for now, you can only mirror your google chrome on pc to your tv. I hope google updates it soon because it's very much lagging behind other streaming devices. Is it an alternative to Apple TV or Roku? Definitely not.
