Great for sharing/streaming

Been only moderately happy with previous devices until the Chromecast. The excellent price and easy installation only makes the whole package more enjoyable.

Not the easiest thing in the world
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For my age, this item wasn't the easiest thing in the world to set up. Once it is it works ok. We tried streaming NYE (the ball drop) and it was sketchy at best so we elected to HDMI directly from laptop to TV. We did find some good benefits you can mirror your laptop screen to a big TV which could be useful when teaching someone. If it weren't for that I wouldn't recommend this product.

The good, the ugly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the initial installation easy enough; but the process of actually getting the streaming started required two calls to Verizon tech support; each call lasting about an hour; so supposed tech savvy guys found it challenging also. Turns out the wifes laptop had insufficient memory; streaming from her IPhone now works fine
