Great product, does what it suppose to!

Everything was simple and easy to setup. I would recommend this to anybody that's looking to connect your smart devices to your television!

Works, but requires a router

The Chromecast requires a router to work, whereas what I was looking for is direct communication between the cast device and the mobile device, which is, I later learned, called "Miracast". Still, chromecast should have the direct connection function built in.

Needs more apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Most useful app so far was real player cloud, you need a subscription for5$ monthly but streams all media from PC to tv or to mobile device, includes cloud storage space. Note, you need to plan for a power cable, I didn't realize it needed external power source and one tv was too old with no USB. Newer Tvs not an issue.

Google Chrome Cast

I can stream pretty much ANYTHING from my phone or iPad. I like it so much ended up getting my mother one. Easy to use, Easy to set up. Only downfall is not being able to use on hotels due to wifi.

No instructions for use are provided so you have to figure use out. Still have problems quitting the 'Cast' function. Wish it could 'Cast' all programs on my computer but for those that it can, it's great.
