A cheap way to stream to TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you want to watch youtube videos, suft the net on chrome o play video on some apps, this is the cheapest and easiest way to do it. Apple TV is better (I have both) but it will cost you much more.

It does what it says except for the Amazon Prime.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it may be the fault of Amazon prime and not the chrome-cast product so I won't blame them, but they should take the Amazon name off of the package so as not to deceive new customers. The package clearly states that it works with it but Amazon does not provide an app and using it through the browser requires me to use my Chromebook... not every user has a Chromebook... probably most do not. It works great with my Nexus 7, windows 8, and chromebook... yea!!!

Great streaming player but not for projector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to cut the cords between my projector and my tablet that I used to hook up along with an external speaker to get a home theater experience. What I didn't realize was that my projector doesn't allow a separate audio channel when connected to any HDMI device. So, it forces me to use the projector's internal speakers (is loud but not so great) which makes my external high quality speakers useless. I wish 'Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player' had a 3.5 mm slot (or something like that) that could enable audio to be taken 'out' as a separate channel to hook up to an external speaker system. Nevertheless, the device in itself is value for money if it were for a normal setup like a TV.
