Great price point, functionality not intuitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The google chromcast works well for $35, but if you really want to get a top notch device for streaming I suggest using the Apple Tv. Google Chromecast does not have a remote and there is no main menu Chromecast screen. Everything is done from your phone, and not able to be seen by others in the room until it is displayed on the screen. Also the ability to view your web browser is only available from a computer and not your phone. Limited functionality currently, but maybe with some time it will be improved.

Great for moving streaming content to your TV.

But once it's done, you can transfer what you are streaming on your TV (Netflix, Hulu, other) to your TV. A very inexpensive upgrade for a digital TV.

Just what I wanted

I wanted to have the ability to cast from my smartphone and it does. However, iPhone does not cast the screen just certain apps. Still a cool device. Now I wish cable companies would come out with something similar to do away with boxes.

The Chromecast has turned a once useless TV room into to the go-to media room. We can watch movies, shows and more with NetFlix, Hulu, HBOgo and more! So many apps are compatible.
