So far I love this device, it was super easy to set up and use but it only works for a couple applications. It will be much better when it's updated to work with more things like Amazon Prime video.

Excellent! This was so easy to setup. Plug in, sync with wifi on your laptop, and it connects right away. Easy to stream video from one Chrome tab and switch to another with interrupting the stream.

I purchased this product to use on my 2nd television so that I could watch HBO Go without having to purchase another TV with that capability. I am extremely happy that I made that choice as I don't have to purchase another cable box from my provider to watch a movie or series when I choose to.

This thing is awesome I set out to get rid of cable and this little nugget helped! It makes it so easy to watch movies saved from my computer, hulu, netflix and Youtube! So easy a kid can do it

this has been the best purchase ever, there are no wires hanging around anywhere, great immediate response (as great as the internet service of course). Anything from my tablet, laptop, desktop and android phone can be sent to the tv. great way to share pictures, videos and anything i want to share

Overall this product is pretty good for the price, and most of my complaints are probably related to not wanting to fork over a lot of money for a Roku box, or faster internet. Setup is pretty easy and straight forward Cons: Sometimes when streaming from my iPad it buffers (sort of like a YouTube video), although it works fine with the Netflix app for some reason. The same goes for casting videos from my laptop through a tab in Google Chrome, even when it is set on the lowest quality setting (480p). I still have a backup hard connection to connect my laptop directly to the HDMI and I can use my Xbox 360 as a backup for streaming Netflix. If the 360 goes may consider a Roku instead.

This is a great product! It is a lot cheaper than buying a smart tv. Only downside is that it does not support a lot of apps. Other than that i love it!!!!

I picked up a Chromecast to compare against Roku. Overall, I'm pleased with the device though its limited app compatibility does not make it a Roku replacement yet. While it does work with your Chrome browser, Netflix and Hulu, its flexibility has been limited by a lack of other app developers. Since Google has opened up development to everyone, this issue might be resolved in the coming months. The biggest disappointment for me was the PLEX app. Even though I've purchased the Android app, since I am not a Pro member, I can't use the Chromecast streaming functionality at this time.

Cheap device. That's for sure. It feels like googles pared down the functionality a bit. I've installed these in some peoples homes and it seemed to mirror the phone's display. Not so much anymore.

This is a good product for the price. Works as expected, just wish more apps were associated with this. Used primarily for watching TV shows on second TV.

I like the chromecast with internet visio tv but can't cast from i-phone but maybe I haven't fivure out yet. I was hoping to be able to use nook tablet and ii-phone as controller. The nook casrts great for netflicks but not with apple or amazon prime.

I own 2 of these for various TVs in my house, and they work great! I can connect to the TVs using chromecast from across the house. I stream movies and other content regularly and have almost no issues. As long as the wifi signal is strong there will not be a problem with chromecast performance.

Chromecast is a device that lets you choose media from netflix and google play services on your phone, tablet, or computer and then send a link to the chromecast which streams it directly from the internet to your television. It's very easy to use and set up. You need a smart phone or tablet to get the most out of it. It does not stream from your phone, but you choose what to stream using your phone. This prevents it from draining your battery. It only has a few apps that use at this time, but google has released the api to developers. This means more app will soon support chromecast.

Simple to use. Nice to watch u tube videos on a big screen instead of I phone. Fun to watch bloopers of different TV shows. Set up very easy

Works as expected. Wish it could play back the file on my local network. This device is also difficult to setup while traveling. Overall it has great integration with my android and Chrome devices. I can't wait to see what they will do with it next.

Got it as s birthday gift, nice to be able to view photos from my phone on TV for others to see. Wish it was easier to view any Web page . ..had to download a free third party app to do it, hope it works for nfl package verizon wireless gives you

It's a great product for android users without a smart tv. It has some lag though, but other than the limited app features it works great, and I'm happy with it

Watch anything easily on your big screen with Chromecast. Easy setup, media apps have built-in support, and chrome browser allows all the rest. Far easier, cheaper, and better than alternatives.

This device is perfect for people who live streaming music like pandora, YouTube, etc. on the television. However, watching tv shows is a pain. It would run really slow and constantly freeze up.
