I was torn between the Roku and the Chromecast, but I eventually went with the Chromecast and I couldn't be happier. I'm enjoying the ability to cast whatever I am watching or reviewing on my laptop, phone, or tablet on my big screen TV for everyone to see. It is a very good investment.

Seems to work well. Need to have accessible outlets by TV to operate. Not always easy when you are out other places & try to use. Also need strong internet signal if working on wireless. Tried at hotel, not so easy there. At home works great.

Awesome product to use ! We usually watch movies with our computer but with this we are able to watch it straight from TV the only things is the you have to have good wifi for the loading to be great! But it's a great idea you don't have to use cables to connect it to watch something :)

I just purchased my third for myself, which makes five in the house if you include both of my college age kids. What I enjoy is the fact that this device will take a feed from a laptop, desktop, tablet, iOS, android...basically anything that can run any of the supported apps and/or chrome.

This is a great little device! the streaming is awesome. I have no problems connecting and watching movies. We move it from boys room to living room. Great product for a great price!!

This little stick does so much already and they just keep adding more features! The only issue I encountered with these is that Guest mode will not work with my devices. Other than that, the quality is amazing and mirroring your PC, mobile device, or streaming content works flawlessly

Honestly probably one of the best solutions for any TV. I have three of these put on each TV in my house. I love that I can mirror stuff from my phone to the Chromecast if there's specific apps that don't allow casting natively. Probably best $35 I've paid for as far as a device goes.

This is a great device for playing youtube and netflix content on your TV. Easy to set up. You can control the video playback from your mobile or laptop.

This is a great gadget to add to the tools used to view TV, computer games, etc. on your TV screen. Very easy to setup and use. Very reasonably priced.

I bought it on the first day Best Buy had it. It delivers promised features perfectly: With a 25M internet connection and a 300M wireless router, it casts youtube videos from my Nexus7, iPhone 5, Mac and PC flawlessly, and plays movies from Google play library in 1080P. I have not tested much with Netflix, but one thing it needs more work is the browser window mirroring( which is still in beta), there is about a second or two lag between the computer and mirrored screen. Overall it does it promised and is great for the price considering the Netflix freebie. Also many third party apps have got cast SDK , I hope to see more browsers, players and games to support it.

I have a chrome crashed on 4 of my 5 televisions and one on a computer screen that I use now is a television in my home gym I cannot recommend a better product for what this does at the cost it allows me to watch my video programming on any screen in my house that has an HDMI port

I use the ChromeCast to stream content to my media center TV, controlled by one of my Android devices. I would prefer t have a ethernet connection, but the Wifi works well, since I have an access point within3 feet of the device. I do wish the device provided Miracast capability, though.

The Google Chromecast isa quality accessory for the Chromebook and at less than retail online at Best Buy. However l went to my local Best Buy and they honor their online prices which is the right thing to do. GO FOR IT!

If you don't already have a smart tv or a streaming device then this is your cheapest bet. You can cast from phones, tablets, PC's, iOS, etc. If you only care about Netflix, HBO Go and/or any of the other applications on the short list of compatible apps, then this is for you. The device can be rooted and I'm sure a developer will figure out a way to stream from other applications in order to play your own videos. You can cast from any chrome browser by downloading the extension for chrome (does not work with mobile chrome, has to be from an actual computer.)

We received it and had it hooked up and working within minutes! Kids love it! All the internet is now on our big screen tv! Music, videos, even Facebook! Great product for a great price!

For what this small device can do, in replicating your chrome browser, it is well worth the money. I must admit that it becomes a bit buggy with the slightest network interference, but my five star rating is to support the fact that you get your money's worth for the Chromcast device.

So glad we decided to purchase a Chromecast. We absolutely love it! We have finally unplugged from cable and it feels great. Since purchasing this one, we have already gotten another for my daughter's room and are about to purchase another for the living room. A great buy indeed.

For the price this is a fantastic product. It works perfectly with Youtube, Netflix, and Hulu. My one concern and this will be a big one to some people is that the ability to cast from the chrome browser is still in beta. It will work sometimes and sometimes not. It will also cuts out at times 2 minutes in. I think it was dumb for Google to release this before casting from chrome was finalized. This was the biggest reason I was looking forward to buying it. Otherwise it is great for streaming netflix, hulu, and youtube without needing to use another device.

Although it does take a moment to understand that the device itself doesn't have apps, and that all the apps are streaming from a phone or tablet, the device is extremely easy to use and setup is literally plugging in to HDMI and a USB. Works great with my iPhone and my wife's Galaxy S4

Chromecast is great! Google is forever improving and I feel they take concerns to heart. Great product and so much better (and less expensive) and less cumbersome than a roku...etc
