Cheap and Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Chromecast because of the price point. I mainly use it to stream YouTube and HBOGO. One great thing about the Chromecast is that it's easy to set up, and you can move it between TVs really easy as well. I think when there are more relevant apps for the device it will be even better, or if you're an Andriod/GooglePlay user(which I'm not) the Chromecast would be even more useful to stream music and movies. I hope the day comes when it's compatible with iTunes, but I won't hold my breath. Overall for the price it was hard not to try it out.

Its okay but can be slow at times
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm happy with what the chromecast is doing. I'm able to watch videos and manipulate them from my phone. However, and this may not even be Chromecast's fault, it can be so slow at times. My tip is, avoid watching during primetime hours.

not bad for $35
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for watching you tube on the tv & casting tabs in google chrome. Pandora also works well with this. Wouldn't work with amazon instant video.

Great chrome for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always heard of Netflix. It was never something I would of purchased until my fiancé showed a great deal of interest. I enjoy watching shows that I missed during there seasons&old movies I used to watch. This chrome cast has made it very convenient because I don't have a smart tv.

Great for Netflix, Youtube, and Chromcast apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old computer that I use to play kids's videos broke. I didn't want to spend a fortune replacing it and Google's Chromecast saved the day. It's relative cheap and streams great quality content. The setup is a bit frustrating if you don't have a wifi device that connect to it directly. Other than that, everything is pretty quick and easy. To broadcast video content from my computer on IE doesn't seem easy so I didn't even bother trying.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice product for the money. $30 on sale at BB. Very easy to set up and provided you have a good wireless connection, the picture is outstanding. I bought 2, one for each of my HDTV's

Not what I thought...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When we bought our first house we decided to do without cable and just keep our Hulu/Netflix subscriptions. This was supposed to be a less expensive alternative to buying other devices for all of our non-smart HDTVs. What we didn't realize was that it is dependent on your phone or other mobile device to literally "cast" whatever you want to watch on your tv, which is not what I wanted. It is not a stand alone device to help your HDTV function like a smart tv. If that's what you're looking for, try the fire stick or Roku.

Worked fine but redundant for me.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast USB dongle did all it said it would. However, I found that I already had all features offered through other means using my existing setup. I may have kept it had the UI been better. Item was returned since it was not needed.

Hopefully will get better.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great device for youtube, netflix or if you rent things from google play or like to listen to music through your TV. I was hoping I could use it to watch personally videos on a TV and there really isn't a good way to do it. I mean, you can play it in chrome browser on your computer but it's really choppy. There isn't a way to watch much other than a few apps on my Nexus 7 (2013). Like I said though, the thing feels like it's on fire all the time. I wish there was a sleep mode or something. They say it's normal so I let it be, but it stays hot.

Best purchase!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing, being as little as it is, it made a huge difference in how I use my TV. In fact, I even canceled my cable because all I need is Netflix and YouTube. I is very easy to setup and even easier to use. All I had to do was open the box, set it up, and it was ready to go.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great little device...It was easy to setup as long as you use Google Chrome...thats the only thing. Hides prefectly behind the television

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product to travel with and we use it for many things like music videos, shows etc. Sometimes there is a delay but I think that's due to the internet connection and upload speed of the movie on my laptop rather than the device.

great lil device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.easy setup and great connectivity. if you have it plugged into a USB port on your tv it turns on and off with your set top and u dont even have to get up to turn it on, just switch the input, one down side, it heated up and ran slowly when plugged directly into the HDMI port, however this was remedied by using the included (and prescribed) range extender - advertised as including WiFi reception - a product of the temperature level rising, i would assume. otherwise, it streams as advertised from tablet (samsung galaxy tab 2.0 7') and from phone (galaxy s4). limited number of apps tho from dedicated providers - thats not googles fault tho.

Works pefectly from tablet and laptop computer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed quickly on TV HDMI port and the software on my tablet, phone, and computers. Streams flawlessly with control from your device. Plus at $30 when I bought it, a great value.

A Great Gadget - Needs more Apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is nothing difficult about setting up the chromecast (unless, like me you still have a TV that has only one HDMI inputs and you have to disconnect the cable box every time you want to use it). We don't have a smart TV or even a blue ray disc player - so viewing Netflix through the Wii was always a hassle. This is so much easier and better quality - but I feel like most new gadgets already have this feature built in. But at the price, you can't beat it. It would be nice if had more apps or allowed more to be streamed from the phone or ipad.

1, 2, 3, Apps, Projection, and Mirror
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its pretty much that easy. If you have one of the rare TV's that has USB but is NOT a smart TV, than this is your cheap out. All your normal Apps (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu....) but it will mirror from chrome on your pc and laptop or project from specific apps on your phone as well.

Great for most things
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The chromecast is a great tool. I have a Logitech Google TV system as well. The chromecast is simpler and is better integrated with applications such as netflix, hulu plus etc. It was pretty easy to setup though I had a hard time at first getting it to connect over my Wifi. My wifi is kinda shotty so the chromecast can't be blamed. Once it connected, however, it hasn't had many problems. One thing I would wish... I would like to be able to view my chrome tabs on my tv when using a mobile device. This is only available if you are using a laptop.

Awesome for entertainment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hooks right up to the T.V. via HDMI input, and uses usb for power. Set up was simple and I was connected in minutes. I bought a second one for another t.v.

Great!... but (oh, no)...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked it, but apparently Amazon and Google don't like each other anymore (as of November 2014), so Chromecast and Kindle Fire HDX will not communicate with each other. Other than that, please note that you need another device to use as the remote, since it does not have one of its own. I would not recommend it unless you do a little research first to confirm that Chromecast will communicate with the devices that you have... still, there's nothing saying that they will continue to support your devices in the future...
