I also have a Roku, which I use for accessing Amazon Prime content, but this Chromecast is a great item for a third the price. I love that all navigation is done through the phone instead of with a remote. It's quicker to navigate, doesn't require that you point the phone at the device to get it to work (the Roku is kind of finicky with the infared, and I often find myself stretching out my arm awkwardly to achieve a direct line of sight from my couch), and it's extremely easy to set up. It's so small and portable, and great to take on trips. I have nothing bad to say about it! I just wish the supported Amazon Prime content.

I have 3 chromecast in the house. You can stream apps to your television like Netflix and hbo go. Or you can use the "cast" function and display whatever is on your phone on your tv; great for apps without chromecast capabilities.

I have Samsung phones and TVs and am able to stream several things to the TV over the WiFi network. I recently purchased a Vizio TV that did not support this feature and was looking for a similar solution. Chromecast filled the bill and also supports streaming from apps.

Very easy to set up took about 10 minutes with reading instructions. Better picture quality with N _ _ f _ _ , then cable on same tv. Tv is non HD, off brand S _ _ k _, 8 years old. Get it. Checked on line at Best Buy dot com. Got it for $5.00 less at the store no waiting.

Best solution for people with dumb-tvs that want to get have Netflix/Youtube streaming capabilities. Not only does the chromecast provide streaming of Netflix and Youtube but also features "casting" of an android/chrome equipped computer screen onto your tv! Great product.

I picked this up to stream college football games to a second TV next to my main TV, and if I the games are on WatchESPN this work pretty well. Unfortunately, BTN2Go and FoxSports apps do not work directly with Chromecast. You can stream these services using a laptop and the Chrome browser, but for some reason this connection is very unstable and has to be reset constantly. I have yet to make it through a quarter of football without having to reset the connection. With some more supported apps, this could be a very good product.

This simple appearing dongle provides amazing functionality, allowing me to "cast" YouTube, Netflix, and other streaming services from my IPad, smartphone, and laptop onto my TV simply and effectively. This product is an amazing deal and I have bought two of them as gifts.

Great product that does what it says. After being sold out for so long at first release i forgot about it and opted for the old fashion cord to tv. Was i in for a shock able to stream videos from the phone have good sound and still use my phone as a phone. Well worth the $35

I like that you can cast from Google's web browser from your computer or smart device over to your big screen TV for all to see with great picture quality. Only downfall is that I wish it could remember for than one WiFi network.

Great inexpensive device to send Netflix or You Tube movies to your TV from iPod or laptop. However, it only works with later model products.

Bought it so I could use my KlowdTV app on my android phone to stream Bundesliga soccer playing live on GolTV in full HD to my LG smart TV. Works as advertised. Also, took only a couple minutes to install, worked the first time.

I have a dell tablet and an android phone. The chromecast is perfect for me. For my wife, it has no value. She has ipad and iphone. You cannot stream the itune movies from either to the TV. I had to purchase the Apple TV for her.

I bought this for use in the bedroom to stream Netflix to a TV where we don't have space for a set top box. It's really easy to setup and works great. My only complaint is that it doesn't have some of the features I've become accustomed to. There is no post play for TV shows, so you have to access the Netflix app to start the next episode. I also hope that it adds functionality for other streaming services like Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a way to stream Netflix at a budget price.

The Chromecast worked well - simple to setup and use - but the selection of apps was disappointing. I returned this item for a refund.

Bought this to be able to see movies from my laptop on my TV with no wires... Has performed reasonable well, with the video lagging on the TV vs. the laptop, but not too bad.

This little device impressed me. Hooked it up behind tv instructions were easy. Picture is great netflix and youtube. Works great with ipad and android phone. Cant beat price.

It is not easy to use in a hotel where you have to login to a permission screen. There is a work-a-round but it is not for beginners. Since I got mine they added Hulu+, but it would be great if I could cast my whole desktop - not just the browser. On the plus side, I can start a movie on my tablet (Netflix), then use my tablet to do anything else. That is nice. Chrome casting is not available for Vista or XP, so I cannot use it with my personal laptop, but I tried it on Windows 7 and it worked well. Hey, for $35 it is a fun little gadget!

I love this product! It makes viewing any video on your phone, tablet, laptop, or other electronic device so easy! The setup is a breeze and all you need is an hdmi port.

If you are in the Google universe then chromecast is nice to do basic streaming like netflix or you tube. I still prefer using my Roku and my Xbox One to do most of my streaming.
