Overall, I'm really happy with this device. I can stream content from my Chrome browswer on my laptop of from any of my other devices to my HDTV. Even though there are limited apps that I can use it with right now (Netflix, HuluPlus) it turns out that the apps I can use are the same ones I use most often with my Roku in the other room and it's at a much lesser cost!

This was easy to setup and is usable on any smartphone or computer with Chrome. The issue is that you can ONLY use Chrome to "cast" things on your TV. If you are not tech savvy then it may be difficult to understand at first.

It's a great way to watch Netflix and other content from the Web. Easy to set up. Do some research on online and you can find some really cool apps that work with chromecast.

I admit that I first was skeptical of Chromecast just because of all I knew of the other similar devices out there, but I've been genuinely pleased with it (and we've had it now for over a month). My only complaint is that sometimes it has a hard time initially communicating with the Netflix app, but usually restarting the app and my TV brings it back up. I've looked online and it appears that this is a fault of Netflix, not of the Chromecast device. Overall, it is really user friendly and it does exactly what we need it to!

This, by far, has been one of the best devices I have ever purchased. No need for any extra remotes to lose or batteries to drain. All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer and a wireless connection. Setup literally takes less than 5 minutes and you are ready to go. You can literally stream anything that you can view on your laptop, phone, or tablet directly on your TV. No more running wires or buying expensive adapters just to watch Youtube, Netflix, Twitch, Hulu, and more. NOTE: Some services require subscriptions to view (Not through the Chromecast but through the respective company such as Netlix and Hulu).

Turns your smartphone, tablet, laptop, pretty much anything connected to your wifi into a remote and turns your television into a quasi smart tv. No support on Amazon's Kindle products though. -1 for that. Get it done, Google.

The chromecast is a great device for a less price. The only thing I don't like about it is there is very few apps that you can use with it.

My household is Apple based but I've been dragging my feet on spending $100 for Apple TV. This device was hard to pass up considering that it was only $35, included free shipping and worked with my iPad. It came with a credit for 3 months of Netflix which I applied to my account toward the end of my Free one month trial for a total of 4 months free viewing. I have only used the Chromecast with my Netflix account so I can't comment much on included features or lack thereof. Heavy techie types might find it lacking in capabilities but for simple viewing of Netflix programing it's really hard to beat. Picture quality is excellent.

I bought this chromecast few months ago.. At first I was happy and excited because I was going to be able to stream movies on my tv screen but, I can't watch a movie with out being interrupted. Signal gets lost. I installed it and reinstalled it, I checked my extension on my laptop and reinstalled it as well and still have the same problem. I rather pay more money for something that works better and not worry about interruptions. Price is good but it makes me mad when I'm enjoying a movie and signal gets lost.

It works great. Made my older tv into a smart tv and no longer have to use my xbox or playstation to watch netflix or hulu. It is great for older TV. Picture looks great to.

I have various chromecast setups under my belt and they rare either quick and easy or not. This time it was not easy. The device works as it should but for some reason I had to reset it to factory twice to get it to work.

I bought my first one for my sister because i didn't have an hdmi port on my tv but wanted to cast from my Samsung S4 phone and it worked great after downloading all apps needed. We love watching movies and videos and looking at photos. It's a great gift for anyone!!

This is a great way to add "smart" features to any TV. The main reason I wanted it was to add Netflix streaming to a TV without streaming capabilities built in. For that, it's perfect and is probably worth the small price just for that. I enjoy using it for music streaming too. There is a shortage of supporting apps right now, but they just opened up development to app makers, so I'm confident that will change soon. As I said, the ability to add movie and music streaming for such a low price makes this device worth it right now.

I have three Chromecast devices and I'm completely satisfied with the product. Netflix, Hulu+, YouTube, Android device screen cast, etc all works as intended. It is such a great experience to find content on my tablet and then cast it to the 50inch screen. Thanks Google.

Easily swaps around between devices with minimal setup issues. Faster the internet connection, the better-non stuttering streams you'll get. Needs at least a 20+ Mbps connection to work properly. Great deal for the price.

There's not much I can send tk it r ight now. I would like to see more app that would support it. But for now, the stuff I am able to do on it, makes me love it to where I can't wait to see what's in store for the future apps.

If you have a no multimedia TV, this is the DEVICE that you need. our children will love it to watch YOUTUBE videos and NETFLIX cartoons. I am keeping the ChromeCast turned on 24h/7d and I did not have any problem, It's a amazing device to upgrade your boring old HDTV.

At first it didn't work but After reinstalling it worked perfectly. Let's me watch things that I'm watching on my phone on the big screen TV. But you do need certain apps that are Chome compatible in order to watch on the TV.

The setup is so simple I was casting my first video in less than 5 minutes. I'm casting Netflix, hulu, YouTube, Pandora and I've found a good app to cast my pictures and videos from my phone. With my laptop using the chrome browser I can cast anything I pull up. Definitely worth the price.. I did buy an extension hdmi cable to make it easier to switch between different devices since my tv has only one hdmi input jack and I got tired of reaching behind the tv to switch between different devices.

I could not have found a better media player for the price. Great picture .loads movies fast. Pleasure to use and easy set up. I wish all electronics were this simple to use
