||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok it was the router... Google recommends resetting (rebooting) it every 3-4 months ... Problems solved. Refresh it... Periodically. Share it enthusiastically... It's changing the assessibility of media and the way we use and distribute language, history and culture.

Nice Streaming Stick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Streams nicely with compatible applications like Netflix, however, browser video streaming is slow and this Chromecast only support 2.5Ghz wireless. The concept is clever but I would like to see 5Ghz wireless compatibility.

It's Cool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works. It's cool. However one thing we are still trying to figure out is to see if I can get the image to go to landscape image instead of portrait image from the phone which would make the image larger on the TV.

Great to watch in tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The size is great. Is easy to set up, but you only can watch YouTube and Netflix at TV. I will like to see more things, like photos at TV.

Great tool for the computer to tv entertainment.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Chromecast is easy to setup and configure to all our devices we have in the home. My fiance and I love watching Youtube video's while we relax at dinner. I can see us using it at parties for music playlists. It's nice to be able to not have to strain looking at our smartphones when we want to share a video or web link...we just 'send' it to the 50' tv. We were able to take it too a party and show it's uses to some friends. They were really impressed with it's quality and speed. Only issue I have is that it doesn't use the tv's hdmi port for power. But the cord is long enough to get you to most wall outlets.

great device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast is an easy way to stream internet video to your TV from almost any source. With a price of just $35, it's a very good deal

Not entirely impressed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to admit I had higher hopes for the Chromecast. I bought it because I was replacing a smart TV, with a non-smart TV but I was looking for similar functionality. I use it mainly for Netflix, and I found that the connection time can lag quite a bit. Sometimes it'll take a minute or more to load the connection from my iPad to the TV. Maybe I'm just impatient, but sometimes I have to quit and restart in order to get it to connect. Picture quality and sound is great, but I also don't like that when I'm casting tabs from my PC I see the whole window, instead of just the media I'm trying to view. I was also really disappointed to find out that I can't directly cast Amazon Prime video. Now I'll need to also purchase an Amazon Fire TV stick to do that. For 35 bucks you can't really expect too much. I'd buy it again.

Awesome tech product for a novice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very satisfied with Chromecast. I feel it was easy to set up for a moderately tech savvy person. My one concern before receiving the product was buffering, which always seems to present a problem on my devices when I try to access YouTube; however, I was pleasantly surprised that buffering has not been an issue so far. The only negative feedback I have is that currently this only runs Chrome, YouTube and Netflix. Hopefully Google will hold to their promise of getting more Sites on board (the CEO said Pandora should be available soon). Great job Google in releasing a high quality streaming device for such a low price!

Fling Netflix (almost) anywhere
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I managed to get this during the holiday season on sale but even at $35, this is a great device. I read about all the challenges others had about installing, and avoided those pitfalls. Within 5 minutes out of the box, I had it installed, downloaded the app and entered the code. In the first several weeks, 'downloads' to the TV kept timing out. This turned out to be good because our wireless router was dying. Once we upgraded the router, connection speeds were blazing fast. We have 50 Mbps. Some challenges that have kept me from giving higher ratings. We have Samsung TVs and while the technology is there to turn on the TV, it is very cludgy. Yes, it will turn on the TV, but then we still had to use the cable remote to change the TV source if we wanted to watch cable. It also requires the Chromecast to have an external power source, which is logical (you can't access Chromecast if the TV is off without an external power source) but it is another vampire device to suck electricity. The other issue is that regardless of device (Samsung tablet, Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HDX, Samsung S3 phone), Netflix 'forgets' about the Chromecast and loses the icon to 'fling' the video to the TV. I haven't figured out what causes this but it is an annoyance, especially if I have paused the show/movie and want to resume. It then resumes it on the device, not the TV. I hope to find out what is causing this and get it resolved but it does keep this device from getting 5 stars. But it is a much better picture from my TV, then on a small 7" tablet, so overall, I'm happy.

great for convenience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given this product 5 stars if WiFi wasn't required to use it. I purchased this because my WiFi in my complex is not that great and I wanted to stream from my phone to the tv. Other than that, great product.

2nd Chromecast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Chromecast through Amazon when they first came out. It decided to just stop working 13 months after my purchase. Google would not do anything to replace it either. This is my second attempt at a Chromecast.

Great product for your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my bedroom tv, it's an older model flat screen tv with no internet access, with the chromecast I am able to access Netflix, YouTube and all internet channels. I downloaded the app to my smartphone and use it to navigate. I would definitely recommend

It works well for what it is designed for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this mostly for watching youtube videos. The one thing that I find irritating is that at times something on my phone will break the connection and I lose control of the player functions like pause and stop because of the signal interruption. There is no way to regain control short of starting a new session and trying to find your place where you lost it again. It is most annoying when working with a playlist as the playlist will disappear when that happens. The software for the devices does seem to be getting better.

Easy to use and amazing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Chromecast has become the perfect companion to our Roku Box in the home since cutting the cable. It was easy to setup, and some of the small things, like having background wallpaper of some family photos or artwork adds a nice touch to the home. More importantly, setup was easy and integration with Chrome on my Mac and Chrome on my Wife's Win8 computer was easy. The integration with my new Nexus 9 was seemless. I can Chromecast music from my tablet or even mirror the entire screen for certain games or apps that don't have the native Chromecast integration in place. I can't recommend this enough!

Works as intended
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Chromecast setup was easy and it works great. I have a smart tv and a ps3 so I only use it to mirror my galaxy s5's screen or show pictures from phone but it works for what I need it to. it was a cheap black Friday buy.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very straight forward and great to use. Netflix and Hulu work seamlessly. Youtube has issues, but I think that is YouTube not Chromecast. Hope more apps start to show up.

Great Value for my needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was easy. Great price. Only has 3 apps I use frequently and wish google would add more like Crackle, Redbox Instant, and Directv.

works well for the most part
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Streaming depends on your internet speeds. Has some buffering at the beginning of a stream which is annoying but after a few seconds, the video runs more clearly. Screen mirroring is only good for static images, not games
