I never paid that much attention to Google Play before gettting a Chromecast... but now I'm loving it... ALl the benefits of the other big media sources, buta nice ability to contol and manage things on any device I"m using (including my Chromecast).

It streams video from Netflix and YouTube to your TV. In addition, some video formats that run on the Chrome browser on a computer can also be streamed to the Chromecast over your WiFi. The free Google Cast extension must be added to the Chrome browser. Other web browsers are not compatible. Quicktime video is not compatible.

It has taken me a little while to get use to Chromecast. I like it, but did not have Google Chrome on the iPad, iPhone or Macbook. Still working out the bugs, but it is nice and convenient when it is working.

One of the best purchases I've made. Works best with your laptop/computer or an android based program. iOS is okay (I'm an apple user), but I use my laptop.

Love the product. It's easy to set up and use. Great for playing u tube videos and movies through. Just wish I could play movies from Samsung hub through it.

With broadband internet you not need the big expenses of Cable. Just connect the Chromecast and stream video and music to your TV from your computer. Gets slow sometimes but works most of the time just fine.

The Chromecast is so easy for anyone with a smartphone to use. Being able to watch Netflix and Youtube on a TV with such a small and simple device. Instead of paying extra for a smart TV, just get this. It is very reliable and easier for someone to use if they already use these apps on their smart phone or tablet. The only thing I have had issues with is that the buffering of videos to go from pixelated low quality to crisp HD is a bit long and the lack of 5GHz support on WiFi hurts.

We got one for 30 dollars and loved it from the start. It was great sitting on the couch and casting our phones, as well as laptops to the screen. The chrome store has lots of apps itself that work great with this so you can cast just about anything

I first bought the Apple TV, thinking it was the best one on the market. I soon decided to try out Chromecast since all my friends had purchased it and gave it soaring reviews. I immediately return the Apple TV and kept my Chromecast as a permanent device in my home. It has a beautiful standby display, plays HD videos from my phone, and is not bulky whatever so it is easily hidden. The only downfall is the beta testing of the "mirroring" component through the Chrome browser; it doesn't play HD videos and I am hoping they arrive to a solution soon. Other than that, it's perfect!

Easy to install, setup and use. Supports multiple devices, multiple apps. However doesn't work with chrome on the phone.

I mainly bought this device for watching udemy videos on my TV. For $35 its a great device. It does take a little time to get used to but there are plenty of answers on Youtube to answer your questions.

I have been in IT for over 30 years and it was a bit of a challenge to get this thing configured. Although there was not much to configure the problem is connecting to it through the WiFi. I had to make changes on my Access points in order to get it to config. But it was worth the trouble! I am amazed at how good the picture looks even when casing from a small device. Some content you can only watch from a web browser and with this you no longer have to do so on a tablet, laptop or computer.

Chromecast has been really fun to use. We took it to a friends house, connected to his wireless very easily and watched YouTube on his big screen tv. We all took turns thinking of and choosing artists and watching the music videos and concert footage. Everyone had a great time! Also, at home we love watching Netflix, especially House of Cards! Easy to use, fairly inexpensive, portable and no monthly fee. An excellent way to get Netflix (only $9 a month/first month free) for unlimited streaming of movies and tv shows whenever/wherever you are! We're hooked on Chromecast!!!!

I like this product but prefer the Roku. Roku is much more easier to use. Likes: Streams wells from laptop. Dislikes: Requires another device to stream to tv.

Easy to setup and easy to use. But it doesn't make any better resolution or sound for hd tv as Apple tv does. Wasting money. Go for Apple tv or something else.

I like this device too much. It is easy to install to use. Good picture quality. Needs more and more apps espically for iOS

Great for casting to the big screen for apps and website with Chromecast features. However, it's has limitations and connection issues once in a while.

Great for watching netflix streaming. Just takes a little longer than expected to load. Maybe its our wifi? So easy to use

Love it and well worth 35 bucks. Easy to set up. HD quality with Netflix. I wish it could display anything I see on my iPad, but it only does a few things.

This is a great product very easy to use. great price. my son hooked it up to his tv and now I have to buy him one. I just wish you could get Amazon Prime.
