This has expanded my TV enjoyment tremendously. I would recommend especially for any student on a budget who likes to watch shows, but doesn't want to pay for cable. You can watch a lot of things online from your TV! Why be stuck to your computer?

Easy to set up. East to mirror. Very few apps supported right now. I hope to see it catch up with AppleTV very soon. Browser casting is pretty cool feature.

Google Chromecast is plug and play! Takes just minutes to set up and your ready to go. Great little device that I use to stream video from my laptop and iPhone....bye bye cable bill !!

they never show you the mini usb power cable required so you have to find a way to power it. you have to use the Chrome beta browser to cast from a browser, that will eventually probably will be good, but between the crashes the browser casted video is choppiest at times. The apps like Hulu and You Tube are better but still do not beat a long HDMI cable for smoothness, I could sense the difference however I don't have a 5GHz home network so that could be the issue as well.

With so much integration with smart phones and smart tvs, this is the perfect way to merge both worlds. Gave one to my parents, Aunte and uncle, and our best friends for Christmas and they use it everyday

It is a good little device to stream video from Netflix, Youtube onto your TV. only issue is that there aren't enough apps that can utilize this stream...

I already have Netflix on my PS4, but this is an equivalent alternative. I've used it to stream basketball games on ESPN3, and it works very well. There is not much picture quality loss due to the stream.

I was thinking about upgrading to a smart TV but the google.chrome allowed me wait and save some money. It's very cinvenient! Just take out your smart phone and stream any content directly to your TV anytime. I highly recommend this product.

Was interested to try this, and at $30 on Black Thursday, couldn't pass it up. We have many Netflix-capable devices around and in our TVs; finding the desired program on iPhone/iPad and casting to the TV is just much easier than any of our other approaches. I only wish that there was an option to directly send HDMI-CEC commands so that it were easier to switch back to my TiVo DVR when I want that. Also, better integration with native media on iOS (especially photos) would be a huge help.

You must have a TV that has DMI inputs. The setup was very easy. The setup even connected to my wireless router automatically! This was a plus. No need to 'enter' the router password. Note: Chromecast is not a broadcast receptor, you must have access to Netflix(tm), Hulu (tm), You-Tube(tm) or any web based broadcast service. If your TV does not have DVD attached, you can use the DVD player in your laptop or linked desktop computer to watch DVD on your TV.

I thoroughly enjoy my chromecast. It was very easy to install and operate. It has exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Great device but needs a remote and more apps. Too bad there isn't a device that works for everything(Apple, Amazon,Netflix, Google Play, Xbox Movies, Etc.)

Great but turns out it can't work with wifis with a splash page. So unless you have your own router, don't use this on a university campus or apartment.

Strange setup procedure. Have your phone or tablet scan for wi-fi networks. Select the Chromecast one. Turn on the tv and set input to the HDMI port the ChrCast is plugged into. Input the number it shows you on the tv and follow the instructions. The book tells you none of this, neither does Google's website. Once it's setup, just look for the chromecast button in your apps and push it to stream from Youtube, Pandora, etc. Great device. Streams from Netflix too. Very well spent $35.

if you love to show online content to large groups of family and friends this is the product for you .... youtube ... hulu ... netlix.... can alll be zapped from your smart phone to any TV that has the chromecast plugged into it ... with a wifi connection .... if you are thinking about cutting the broadcast cord or getting rid of your cable or satalite dish ... this is the product for you .... tons of possabilitys ....$35... This device is great. It allows me to stream Netflix and Hulu all witelessly to my TV from my phone. Even better it let's me stream all the media I have on my Plex media server. Highly recommended... Can't beat the price for this much functionality.

Great to listen to your music, watch youtube videos, or HBO GO, Netflix from your phone/lap top to your TV. Easy to use and install. Great for the money.

I bought the Chromecast device because I had already had one and wanted to add Chromecast to a 2nd TV in my house. Myself and my daughter love to stream Netflix and YouTube videos from our Phones and iPods. For the price this product can't be beat. I would recommend it if you looking for a easy way to stream things to your TV. More and more applications are supporting it.. however support still seems limited. I am hoping with Google giving out a API now support will increase and applications like the NHL or NFL app which you can stream from will take advantage of it.

The performance of my chromecast for the room I bought it for is very good. Better instructions to set it up would have been helpful. I went to you tube and found what I needed to complete the set up.
