Chromecast was pretty easy to set-up, and almost immediately worked with Hulu and YouTube. We don't have any of the premium/paid video services (e.g. Hulu Plus), so we aren't getting the most value out of it. However, it's still fun to watch YouTube videos and free Hulu episodes on our "big screen." If you have a paid service such as Netflix or HuluPlus, I can see the added value of using ChromeCast to watch on your home TV. For the price, it's a fun gadget regardless.

Cheap solution to stream media content to tv. I have tried Netflix, Youtube, and Plex from laptop and Nexus 7 tablet. Easy to setup and use. I connected a 2.1 pc speaker set to my tv as a cheap solution for decent sound. I do not like having to use the usb power cable. More apps will be available in the near future since the SDK was made available for all developers. Im not sure why there is a "Charge Time" in the Product Rating...there is no charging for this device.

Was easy to set up.. doesn't take up space like a WiFi DVD player would..

This is a great product when you are casting from your android. but it video lags when you are casting from your PC. I tried couple of different PC and also Mac, but still the video was laggging.

When I first heard about this on the news & the WWW, I was SO EXCITED to get one & try it out...but sadly I couldn't get one b/c somehow they soldout before I could get my hands on one. However, after waiting a while until more were available, I snatched one up ASAP! Tried it out & I LOVE it!! Now I want to get one for some family members & friends for Christmas this year!! Yay!! Google is really kicking some MAJOR "you-know-what" in the tech world!! Watch out, I predict Apple going to be in 2nd place very soon...that is, if it's not already there! :o)

I bought Chromecast instead a Smart TV. I like being able to project what I'm seeing on my phone, but I wish picture quality was better. I am going to try with an iPad to see if it's better.

The product itself does what it's supposed to so I can't fault it there, but I'll be glad when Google and Amazon finally settle their current turf war and let devices work with each other >.<

Like being able to watch u-tube on large screen, net-flix works great also! Easy to set up and use.

The gadget was easy to install and it has some wonderful images when it sits at idle however it seems that it only worked when it wanted to. Some times it would hook up and stay on without a problem other times it just would not work. I tried in different TVs and in different rooms and it was all the same, it only wanted to work when it wanted not when I needed it. I only recommend it if you like to see beautiful pictures while your computer/TV is at idle.

This device basically turns any non smart tv into a smart tv. Smartphones and tablets are used as the remote controls. So far works great on my older tv and allows me to use pandora netflix hbo go and many other apps right on my tv. Setup was a breeze. Only quirk I found was set up with fail if you rename the device. So I set up as the default name and then changed it later. No biggie. Also works great because you can take it with you on trips or to a friends house etc. Instead of buying a pricey roku box for 60 to 100 dollars get this instead.

This is a great start for a promising new product. The app list is currently short, but with more support in the future this will be a nice alternative to similar products. The only other complaint is that you possibly need to change certain setting in the router of the network you want to connect to, which may limit its use in hotels and other public places. I bought this specifically to use while traveling, so we will see how many times I get denied due to access issues.

I use this for flawless streaming of my VUDU movies and Jetflicks HD to my tv's. Its great simple to use and as good as the network connection.

great product and inexpensive. setup was easy. only complaint is it seems to need to be rebooted every so often.

BAO is very helpful. He helped me pick out what I wanted carefully, let me know he isn't on commission, and asked questions regarding what I was looking for. It wasn't wham bam checkout and then leave. Promote him..he is golden.

I like the fact that you can use your PC or your iphone to play video content to your TV via chromecast. However, the lack of support for Amazon prime video knocks off one star for this device.

I bought this for a close friends birthday. He is a tech guy and has all of the toys (laptops, tablets etc.). This is a perfect gift for him to be able to stream to any TV with those devices.

The Google Chromecast was very easy to set-up and use. I would definitely recommend it for streaming purposes.

Purchased this chromecast for another room, as it was part of a bundle package. Casting works as expected, and automatically finds wi-fi for easy setup. Prefer to use it without the usb extender, but it comes in handy if needed.

The Chromecast is great for streaming media from my tablet, phone, or Chromebook for viewing content. This is an inexpensive option and I look forward to seeing how it improves.

I wanted and easy way to view my Netflix content on my TV. The tv is not set up with wifi and I did not want to purchase another $100 Apple TV. This was an economical solution. After the simple set up it was easy to stream the shows from out phones and computers. I only wish that it would work with more content. I see the chrome cast icon on my web browser so I later thought I could use my tv as a second monitor or a projector. All in all we are very pleased with it.
